I was watching TV when my mom came rushing over to me and she looked worried.
"What's wrong" I said very nervously.
"Okay Paige the case we have been on for over a year with Derek we finally found him and your dad and I have to go right now before he gets away" she said while looking me in the eyes.
"Are you gonna be okay, what should I do" I said on the verge of having a panic attack.
"We will be fine and you lock up the house and stay safe, you know where the guns are if you need them, I love you" my mom said and placed a kiss on my cheek.
I just nodded and gave her a huge hug. Even though I can tell she's skeptical, she acts brave. One thing I love about her. Me on the other hand I'm a mess.
"I love you too" I whispered.
My dad came rushing down the stairs and said "let's go."
"I love you sweetheart be safe" my dad said while hugging me.
"I love you too" I whispered back while crying.
They gave me a small smile.
"You'll be fine and so will we" my dad said with a reassuring smile.
I nodded and they rushed out the door. But what if they get hurt? Thoughts kept rushing through my head and I felt more tears form.
I wiped them off and started locking all the windows and doors. But I couldn't just let my parents leave when they could get hurt, I had to follow them.
I grabbed my keys and ran to my car. I saw there car in the distance and I followed it carefully. I really hope nothing bad happens.
