A New Beginning

Ch. 5-That night...

"I sure hope so or tonight will be awkward," her father had said. Pandora couldn't get that sentence out of her head; what could her father be planning? She looked around the corner and peered into the kitchen, where he father was speaking to Alek. He saw both of their faces light up as she clearly heard Alek exclaim,"Yes! I thought I would be the one to ask. When are we leaving?" August answered with a wide smile, "Probably in an hour. That's enough time for both of us to take a shower and get ready, right?" The taller man nodded as they both headed to their rooms.

After they had both taken a shower, they were in the bathroom together. They were both shaving their faces and Alek got distracted by August's amazing jawline and accidentally cut himself. He quickly grabbed the towel and held it to his face. August noticed this and instantly dropped his razor and put a hand on Alek's cheek to turn his face towards him. Alek blushed a little as August moved the towel away and looked at the cut. He was observed it for a  second and said,"It could be worse, but don't worry about it." Alek nodded and finished up before going to his room to change and August did the same.
In his room, Alek dug through the closet to find his suit. He had a red tie lying on the bed and he was wearing a white shirt already, but just needed to find the suit jacket and pants. Meanwhile, Auggie was in his room trying to style his hair. When he had it styled the way he wanted it, he went and knocked on Alek's door. Alek opened the door a crack and stuck his head out. "Yes?," he asked with an awkward smile as he saw August. The short one said,"Come out when you're ready..." He shut the door and quickly got dressed. He walked out of the room as he tried to tie his tie. He noticed that August had his tie tied, so he nervously went over and asked,"um, Could you please help me tie my tie?" Auggie chuckled and stepped close to him and started to tie the tie, his hands touching Alek's chest a few times. Alek was lightly blushing by the time they got in the car. August drove to the restaurant, which was more of a black tie optional type of place.
When they parked, Alek got out of the car first and ran to the driver's side to open the door for August. August smiled widely and thanked him as he felt a light blush spread across his cheeks. The ginger haired man got out of the car and basically raced the other to the restaurant's doors to see who would hold them open. Alek won and held open the door for a few couples who were leaving and then August. Once inside, August checked them in and they were led to their table. Alek pulled the chair out for August before he sat down. He smiled a little as he said,"So, Auggie~, this is where you wanted to go for a first date?" Auggie blushed a little and looked at the menu as he responded,"...yeah. It was where my ex and I got engaged and later decided to get a divorce..." Alek laid his hand on top of August's on the middle of the table as he replied,"Oof, that got darkish." August laughed as he replied,"I can't believe you just said Oof in a place like this." They both laughed and got some weird looks from couples around them. The pair quieted down. Soon, they both ordered food and drinks. Alek got a beer, while August got a margarita. About 20ish minutes later, the food came. August had gotten fish taco nachos and his significant other had gotten chicken tenders because he is a manly man. The two ate slowly and while August was paying, Alek downed his third bottle of beer. He was still sober as Auggie led him to the car. Alek broke the silence by saying,"That was
fun. We should do his again except I'll pay next time." August stayed quiet and nodded.
When they got home, they headed to their separate rooms and changed, Pandora waited for them in the living room, but they didn't come out, so she headed back to her room. Only then did they come out to the living room. Alek was wearing sweatpants and a black shirt with a polar bear on it. August was also wearing sweatpants, but with a light blue shirt. They smiled at each other and sat close to each other on the couch. August turned the tv on and looked at his new boyfriend as he asked,"What do you want to watch?" Alek shrugged and leaned back. August clicked on a movie and leaned onto Alek. He heard soft snores and looked up at his partner who had his eyes closed and was probably asleep.
