A New Beginning

Ch. 9-The Beach

It was early June when August decided to take his family to the beach. August and Pandora were in their swimsuits and were waiting for Alek to come out. When he did, he seemed quieter than usual. He grabbed the beach bag and led the other two to the car. On the drive there, Alek, who was not the one driving, fell asleep. He only woke up when Pandora yelled,"WE'RE HERE!!!" Alek grabbed the bag at his feet and got out of the car. He walked next to August as they followed Pandora who was already in the water. August laid out the towels and Alek sat up chairs. August, who was naturally tan, had no idea that he would need to bring SPF 50 for Alek until he saw Alek without a shirt. He gasped and said,"You're so white..." Alek smiled a little and chuckled as he responded,"I am a very white bean." The couple headed into the water and found Pandora, who they watched from a distance. After a few minutes in the water, Alek got bored and tired of being wet, so he went to go sit in one of the chairs they had brought. 

Meanwhile in the water, Pandora was talking and playing with one of her friend's from school (Yes, the one with homophobic parents). August watched not to far away, but every few minutes, he would glance over at Alek to see how he was doing. When he looked over this time, he saw that he was drinking something from a bottle; Auggie was too far away to see exactly what it was, but he guessed it was some sort of alcohol. When he saw him put the bottle down, he got out of the water and headed over to him. He sat in the chair next to him and smiled a little as he asked,"Is that beer?" Alek nodded and went back to reading his book. Alek had put his book down and was watching some people when August moved to lay on him. The blue eyed man froze up as he looked down at August, who had his head resting on Alek's chest. Alek pet his hair and continued to watch the people pass by. Minutes later, the red head removed himself from his tall white bean and went back into the water. 

Half an hour later, Pandora and August were racing to see who could get to Alek quicker. August let Pandora win and August looked up at Alek as he said,"Pan and I are getting tired. Are you ready to go?" Alek nodded in response and starting to get the chairs and towels gathered up. Once the family was in the car, Alek drove them to the house and purposefully took the long way home. By the time they got to the house, Pandora was asleep in the backseat, so August brought her in, while Alek brought in the towels and left the chairs in the trunk. He took the towels to the laundry room and headed to his room to change. 

When he took off his shirt, he looked in the mirror and saw that he had a sunburn. His back, shoulders, face, and chest were all a shade of red. He walked out of the room without his shirt and knocked on Auggie's door. The short ginger opened the door and blushed slightly as he saw shirtless Alek. He looked up at him as he asked,"Yes?" Alek replied,"Um, can you please rub some aloe on me?," he chuckled softly and continued,"I got really burned." August took his hand and dragged him to the bed where he ordered,"Sit here while I get the stuff." The tall one nodded and looked around the room from his seat on the bed. August soon came back with the aloe and moved to sit directly behind Alek, in a way so that his legs were on either side of the taller one. Alek blushed a little and shivered as he felt August begin to rub the cold substance all over his chest. August's strokes down Alek's chest were slow and confident. After his chest was finished, August moved back some and began to massage the aloe onto his partner's back. Alek reached to the side and put some aloe on his hands. He began to rub it into his face and shoulders. When they were finished rubbing Alek, he stood up and thanked August with a kiss on the lips before he went to his room. August watched him leave with longing in his hazel eyes.
