When my eyes landed on him It was like my whole world stopped. My heart was racing fast and pounding like crazy. Standing right before my very eyes was...... Mr. Howard.
Yes I know you may be thinking seriously your math teacher? You're scared? Well yes because if you knew my dad you'd be praying for your life right about now. Just then my dad walked out of the kitchen and handed Mr. Howard a piece of paper and said, " Why thank you Felix, I can assure you that India will never act that way again starting today."
The way that word today rolled off of my father's tounge I immediately regretted the way I blew up in class earlier. God help me please! "My pleasure Mr. Jackson, and I will definitely give you a call if anything happens." With that Mr. Howard makes his way towards the door where I was and simply said, "Good day Ms. Jackson." Then he opened the door, stepped out and shut it.
There was a deadly silence in the air. That is until my father spoke. "So, tell me what's this I'm hearing about you using vile language in class? Not to mention threatening another student? Hm? Speak up!" I just stood there in complete and utter shock. Did I threaten Michael? I did no such thing! Ooh... Mr. Howard is a good lier. A damn good one.
My dad begins walking towards me slowly snapping me out of my thoughts. "Oh, your gonna get it princess, real good." He says only inches away from me while wiping tears I didn't even know I had from my cheeks. 'B-but h-he i-I didn't-," I tried to explain until he cut me off. "Not right now, oh your really in for it so be prepared, but, not now." Thank you god oh thank you.
I felt as if a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders. But why? Why not now? Then as if he was answering my question he said, "Your aunt is stopping by, and if you even think about telling her anything your gonna have way more hell to pay, understand girl?" I simply nodded my head yes not wanting to be in more trouble. I'm in enough trouble already thanks to Mr. Howard or should I say Felix. Ugh....I feel like gagging when I bring up his name. Just then the scary awkward silence was then again broken by the door bell. Saved by the bell.
My dad goes past me pretty fast and opens the door. I see my aunt Teresa and her daughter my cousin Melvina with..... suitcases? OMG please tell me they are staying here. My aunt zooms past my dad to get to me. "There's my niecey, hey BOO!" I ran into her arms feeling protected for once and safe. I mean she is my aunt on my dad's side but, why is she so nice? And my dad is so him?
Then my cousin Melvina was staring at me with that pearly white smile and her arms wide open in my direction. 'MELLY' I screeched as I ran into her arms. "Hey, girly how ya been doin girl it's been like foreva." I giggled at her accent, she was quite the girl.
'I've been good, hey, are you guys staying here?' Then Melvina said " You betcha, aye uncle said Imma be goin to ya school for awhile, so tell me are the boys all ova you up there or what?" My cheeks were flushing a dark shade of pink while I was smiling. But, all of that stopped shortly after I noticed my dad glaring at me with angry eyes. I went over to pick up my aunt's luggage.
'I'd better help you guys get settled in.' I said with a small nervous smile to ease the tension in the room. "Splendid, niecey lead the way." My aunt said with a small smile as well.
*2 hours later*
My aunt was settled in the guest room. Me and Melvina decided to share my room since it already has two beds. Now it was about 9:00pm and we all ate dinner at 8:30 which was pretty good I guess. There was no wierd tension at the table so I guess it was good.
Me and Melvina stayed up and talked for awhile until there was a knock at my door. I said, 'Come in.' It was my aunt. "Hey girls, I'm goin to bed now love ya, don't stay up to late now y'all got school in the morning goodnight." I said 'Night aunty love you too!' "Yea okay, night mama love ya!" Melvina said. With that my aunt closed the door.
I got up to turn off the light, then I made my way back over to my bed and I got under the covers. 'Goodnight Melly see you in the morning.' I usually pray before I go to bed but I don't know if Melvina does or not, I don't want to make her feel wierd or uncomfortable hm.... maybe tomorrow. "Night cousin, sleep tight don't let the bed bugs bite." She says. I pop up instantly and say 'Bed bugs what bed bugs?' She started laughing like crazy. "Girl I'm just pullin ya leg." 'Oh.' I sigh knowing that she's just kidding. Then I dozed off into a very peaceful sleep wondering ........
..........how will tomorrow go?

I know it's been awhile since I updated so Here it is!
😁 I had been doing a lot of thinking about this story 🤔
And I can promise you that it will definitely get better.
The story is you can say just getting Started. Also I was reading over the chapters and they are really short😂😂
But I might make them longer I dunno. Chapter 5 may be coming sooner than you think,🤗 I might even post it
Tomorrow...........Maybe not sure yet🤐.
