CHAPTER #21: Trouble in Paradise

Now that we are all sitting at a booth in the diner I feel more comfortable. Katy and I are sitting on one side of the booth meanwhile, Michael, Jay, and Junior are sitting across from us on the other side.

The waitress comes to the table and says,"Hello there everyone! Welcome to Breakfast Palace where we serve you like royalty 24/7. Can I start you all off with drinks?" I say,'Can I have a strawberry lemonade, extra strawberries please?' She nods her head as she writes on her notepad.

Michael says,"I'll have the same please." She says,"Alright times two. What can I get you little guy?" Junior says,"I want a chocolate milkshake. Oh oh, with two cherries please!"

The waitress looks at all of us for conformation. Katy says,"Sweety, I don't think sugar is a good ide-" Jay cuts her off and says,"Its afternoon time now Katy. Yes, he'll take the shake please." The waitress writes that down and she asks,"Anything else?"

Jay says,"Ah yes, I'll take a diet coke please." Katy says,"Make that two."

The waitress says,"Alrighty! I've got it. Now, here's what I've got down.. two strawberry lemonades extra strawberries; one chocolate milkshake with two cherries.. and two diet cokes. Will that be all?"

Junior says,"No! Thats not all what about our food? We're going to starve?!" Michael chuckles under his breath and I do as well. Katy says,"No baby, someone else will take our order for the food.."

Junior says,"Oooh.. okay then. Yes that'll be all." All of us laugh aloud and the waitress walks away to get our drinks.

Jay asks,"So, miss was it?" I say,'Uh, yes and no hehe. You see Junior calls me that but my name is India.' Jay says,"Aha.. I see. India, how did you meet my son before I did?" Katy scoffs and I say,'Well, it was more like a baby sitting type of thing.'

Jay asks,"How long have you been baby sitting him?" I relpy,'For a day and a half.'

Junior cuts into the conversation,"And she's amazing! I wish I could live with her forever and ever and ever!" That really warms my heart. Its good to know that someone really cares alot about me and wants me in their life. Even if we just met.

I ask,'So, what do you do for a living Mr.Jay?'

He says,"Well, I'm a very hard working CEO of my fathers passed down company Wattsons inc. I slave away and work hard making sure my bills are paid and I keep a smile on my fiancee's pretty face."

Katy looks away and I feel bad. 'Oh, thats cool.' Junior asks,"Do you have a bring your son to work day?" Jay says,"Well, I'll look into it but, if you'd like to swing by the office some time this week that would be cool."

Katy mumbles something but I didn't quite hear what she said over the waiter that came to take our order.

"Goooood evening or afternoon ladies and gentlemen! What can I get for you to eat today?" Katy says,"I'll have your breakfast platter only, instead of sausage I'll take extra french toast sticks please."

I say,'Mmm.. I'll take your palace platter with the eggs, bacon, french toast sticks, and the sausage.. only, can I have my eggs boiled please? I hate scrambled eggs.' He writes down what I want and Michael says,"You've got to be kidding me.."

Jay orders this huge breakfast platter for him and Junior to share, meanwhile Michael orders the same thing as me. Sure enough the waitress from earlier comes back with our drinks and about 15 minutes later they bring out our food and we feast..

*About an Hour Later..*

That was really good breakfast. Michael says,"I see why they have a grade A in the window. They definitely are a five star business." I nod my head in agreement.
