"How could you abandon your own daughter whom you have carried for nine months because of your hatred towards me? Didn't your heart question you once?" he demanded, regaining composure and shaking her to gain his answers.

"My heart. You dare speak of my heart, ACP Raizada? The one you have broken? How would it beat for anything akin to you? I was aware that it was my child too and that is the only reason I did not get an abortion or else who would care for a murderer's child?" she spat, her eyes shooting daggers at him as his hands fell limp by his side sensing her hatred towards her own child due to him.

Arnav could not bear to look into her eyes after the intensity of her accusations and the truth behind them. He could not refute the fact that Khushi's father could have died due to a bullet fired by him, because they had no way to connect the ammunition to the one who operated it, but he could not bring himself to apologize to her. Because the only thing which resonated in every cell of his at the time was the oath he had taken to serve the country.

Despite the storm of emotions, he was clear regarding one thing - he wanted to meet his daughter and take her away from the orphanage but the only key to her location was with the woman in front of him and it would be foolish of him to expect that she would answer any of his questions straightly. His heart would not agree to his logic and his instinctive behavior of never giving up took over him.

"Where is my daughter? In which orphanage did you leave her?" he questioned, making sure to address the child as his and not hers, to not incite any outburst from her.

"Why should I tell you? There is a high probability that the child is adopted by someone else," remarked Khushi, her lips stretching to one side triumphantly as she eyed fear and pain in the eyes of the man who had caused the same emotions in her.

Although she was the one restrained against the door, he felt strangulated and suffocation made his breath hitch. The Khushi he had known, the one who was his wife, was the very epitome of compassion and subtlety and the one standing in front of him as his colleague in the police force was the stark opposite of her.

Khushi moved her arms and her body in a manner to untangle the knot tied by Arnav and the police training certainly helped her to strategize wisely and untie the knot faster. It was still bound to one hand of hers but she was no longer restrained against the door handle.

"Whether she is taken up by someone or not is just a probability. You shall disclose the name of the orphanage if you don't wish to face any consequences," warned Arnav, trying to ignore the piercing pain stinging to him right at the heart.

"Consequences you say?" she questioned, laughing mirthlessly as she took baby steps around him, encircling him in the course.

"Firstly, I am not your legally wedded wife, and you don't have the child to prove your paternity and file a case against me. Secondly," she stopped right behind him and hurled the free end of the tie knotted to her hand across his neck and tightened it almost choking him.

"Secondly, ACP Arnav Singh Raizada, I am a police officer and warning me of any dire consequences and attacking an on duty police officer can only lead you to a police case, which I am sure, a law-loving and law-abiding person like you would be well aware of, isn't it? Thirdly, you deserve every bit of pain and a home-breaker like you does not deserve to build their own family," she mocked against his ear, shocking Arnav with her actions.

It did not take Arnav long to set himself free from her clutches and twist her arms behind her back to prevent any such action from her side again.

"I am not speaking to you like ACP Arnav Singh Raizada, Khushi. I am begging you like a father, please tell me where my daughter is," he pleaded, pressing her against him in order to stop her struggle.

Their proximity did wonders to them both. The sparks which their bodies emitted shed light on the memories they had hidden in the darkest recesses of their hearts, both for albeit reasons.

--FLASHBACK--

"What are you doing? Someone will see. What will they think?" questioned Khushi, a bright red due splayed across her neck and flaming cheeks, with coyness and passion exuding from her in an unmistakable manner.

"What? I am just romancing my to-be wife. And what is that quote?" he asked, a teasing smirk playing on his lips as he only pulled her closer, not allowing even air pass in between them as she melted in his arms just like ice in the embrace of flames.

"Which quote?" she whispered, losing herself in the dark pools of his eyes which eyed at her intently as if she was the most exquisite piece in the world.

"Jab Miya Biwi Ho Raazi, Tho Kya Karega Qazi.." he replied huskily, placing butterfly kisses over her nape as she clutched his ruffled waves in her palm and pulled him closer, every inch of her craving to be worshiped by him.

"But we are not husband and wife, we are just engaged," she teased, knowing that she was fueling his passion by acting to move away when that was last thing she wanted to do.

"What is there in the legal document and title, darling? You are mine and I am yours, and that is all that matters," he whispered against her lips before claiming them into a frenzy, hungry and feral embrace with his.

--FLASHBACK ENDS--

"Unfortunately for you, Mr. Raizada, you are not speaking to the mother in me because she has gone into vegetative state like my mother. You are speaking to Inspector Khushi Gupta and no, I will reveal no such thing to you," she lashed, his false promises breaking the reverie of beautiful moments and giving her opportunity to walk out from his embrace.

Unlike the previous time, it was her who had walked out on him but she had managed to put him in the same place where he had left her. Whether it is Karma or her revenge, he knew not, but he was sure that he will trace his daughter, no matter what it takes.

Translation: Jab Miya Biwi Ho Raazi, Tho Kya Karega Qazi..

When husband and wife are ready, what can the priest(or anyone else) say in opposition?

I hope you like it. I know you might not like the extent of hatred in Khushi for Arnav but please understand that she has lost her father and mother because of him. He had no right to sleep with her if he was not ready to fulfill the conditions she had with it. Please VOTE and COMMENT!
