Goodbyes

I sat by the barrier on one of my cases, scrolling through my phone ad I waited for Ben. He was already five minutes late. As I sat there, there was a sudden voice singing behind me,
"I wish that we could just talk
But I don't really know where to start

I turned to see Harry looking at me. I looked at him, singing a song my own.

Rather than giving up, he kept singing to me. With me singing to him too.

By this point we were dancing with each other. He held me close on his lines and I pushed him away when it was mine. It was a mix of dance and almost acting. Kinda weird really. I looked over and saw the limo about to cross over the bridge, but that thing takes about 15 minutes.

I was too busy hanging out with my crew

I turned and looked at Harry, tears in my eyes as I shook my head. He just doesn't get it, does he?

He grabbed my hands again and wouldn't let me go, no matter how hard I tried. "Harry-" he cut me off with a kiss and I looked at him, fighting tears.

There was a small silent between us and I shook my head. "I'm sorry, Harry, I... I just can't..." The limo arrived and I looked at Ben before he started grabbing my stuff and putting then in the boot.  "Harmony, please..." Harry's voice was hoarse and full of tears as he looked at me. Looking down, I shook my head again. "I can't..."

I started crying and pulled away from him, getting in the limo and shutting the door. Ben and Harry were mumbling to each other outside before Ben joined be in the limo. He pulled me into a tight hug snd I cried on his shoulder. "Why did I think this would be a good idea, Ben? Everything's going wrong." I sobbed quietly. The limo started moving as Ben spoke. "You got away from trouble in the best way you could. You survived almost a year on the Isle. And you found love. To me, nothing went wrong."
"But the thing with Isaac -"
"Is being sorted the Gotham way. Isaac is currently at his father's boot camp and won't be returning for almost 2 years."

I was shocked. 2 years? And I'd been on the Isle for almost a year? Wow....

Ben's POV

Harmony managed to cry herself to sleep on my shoulder. She curled herself into a ball and shook a little with every breath. Is this from Isaac? Wow. "Your Highness, her Lady Mal is on the phone." He driver told me. "Put her on speaker but not too loud as Princess Harmony is asleep." I answered. He nodded a pressed a few buttons before Mal was heard trough out the limo.

M- Hello?
B - Hey, Mal. What's up?
M - Are you with Harmony?
B - Yeah but she's asleep.
M - Good. The King and Queen of Gotham are here and they seem pretty angry.
B - Tell them we'll be about an hour. Until then, show Harley the gymnastics area and show the Joker our guards training fields. They'll  like them.
M - O-Okay. And what about the guns pointed at your parents and me??
B - WHAT!?

Harmony jumped awake, "What's going on??" I quickly explained everything and suddenly Harmony was in the drivers seat, going at almost 100 mph. "I'm gonna murder my parents.  Hang in there, Mal!"
