why can't north and South Carolina be combined to make ONE state?

I mean, both states aren't that big, so if they're it won't be ginormous.

just call it Carolina.

plus if u combine the two states, border and security control prices go down so that's less that the government will have to pay.

also it will prob get more tourist money, since there's stuff in both NC and SC.

like fr this is actually a good idea, just think abt it.
