Scene 4:
Me: It was getting late and after lots of gist Sam had to leave promising he would see us tomorrow.
Sam: Vee i kinda have to run, but will see you lovelies tomorrow.
Dolapo: See u Sam.
Me: I hugged him and he got a cab to take him to the male hostel where he stayed. Dolapo and i shared a room, we had taken our time to design it in a way that suited our similar tastes. Now that Sam had gone we had time to gossip.
Dolapo: So Vee it's just us now, what's up with the range outside?
Me: Haba girl, i couldn't leave it at home and besides we need to live a little. I went over to unpack and in doing so brought out a bottle of johnnie Walker Scotch whisky (Excelsior) a rare double matured Scotch whisky, distilled in 1947, bottled in 1997 (≈US$1,700).
Dolapo: Eh woah, girl what's that? Do u have the faintest idea what that bottle cost??
Me: Of course i do i replied, tears formed in my eyes as i remembered i usually helped Dad shop for his bar and knew every bottle and what they were worth. I grabbed two glasses and some ice and poured us both a drink. Made a toast to the future.. And we clicked glasses.
Dolapo: it's 8pm, all this drinking at home would you like to go to somewhere?
Me: This was strange in more ways than one, firstly somewhere was actually a joint where all the cool guys and girls hung out and had drinks and smoked weed. And secondly the old me wouldn't have been caught dead in a place like that. It seemed like my girl was trying to test the boundaries of the new me, i also wanted to see how far i could push myself. So I said yes and we both proceeded to get ready for an evening out.
