Chapter 3

BROOKES COURT DATE WONT BE TILL THE NEXT CHAPTER OR SO.

BROOKES POV

I walked into the hospitable, checked in and brought my stuff to my locker. I walked to to Gabys room to check on her. "I hear you get to go home tommorow." I said

"Yeah."

"I heard you might lose your job." She said, i look at her

"The nurses talk and doctors." She said

"Well i hope we can find you a new liver soon, ok."

"Yep." She said, and i walked out. I walked down to the ER and mostly everybody is looking at me.

"What." I said and they looked away

"Thats what i thought."

"You know, you might be the peraon who shuts the ER down." Someone said

I looked behind me, Ragosa. "Huh." I said

"If you kick every parents who yells in this hospitable, we will have to shut the hospitable up." He said

"I kicked him out for his daughter, his daughter is never going to get better with him yelling at her, making her nervous, making heart beat go fast, and her blood. I was doing my job, he wasn't, you should of heard the words he was calling her. You never want to hear a dad call his daughter that, it tears people up inside."

"Lets see if they see that way." He said

"Why dont you just stop treating patients, then you dont have to worry about the money or the sueing." I said

"You are suspended until your court date." He said and walked away

"Idoit." I said and walked to my locker. I grabbed my stuff and walked out, everybody was looking at me but i just kept walking to my truck. I got in and i hit the horn a few times. I drove to my parents house, i walked in, grabbed a beer and sat on the couch with my mom and dad.

"How bad."

"I was suspended." I said, i looked at ny watch and it was only 7. I walked into the kitchen,  "Brooke, something happened." My day said, i walked over to him and my mom was having a heart attack.  I called 911, when they got here we hopped in.

"Aren't you supposed to be at work."

"Got suspended." I said and my eye caught her heart rythem. I grabbed her stethoscope and i listened to her heart.

"Her heart is slowing down, we need to go now."

"Your not a doctor."

"I am, but for god shakes, drive faster, or I'm going to lose my mom." I said and he drove faster. We got there, Jordan and Drew where outside.

"Who's this, another patient you give us, that we have to shut the hospitable down." Jordan says, and Drew looks at me

"Try my mother, and for god shakes stop treating me like that, we would of all did the same thing." I said, i walked to the waiting room, and i felt for my phone. I walked into the locker room and grabbed my phone from there. I punched the locker and the door opened. "Brooke, stop." Drew said

"Please tell me that everybody doesnt hate me."

"I dont." He said, i looked at him

"What happened."

"What."

"Your face, i use that face to tell someone there family members died." I said, and i ran to her room.

"Brooke, I'm sorry." Jordan says

"Yeah right." I said and i looked at her,  i looked at her charts and she had a heart attack because someone gave her an allergy pen. I kissed my mom on her forehead.

Drews pov

"Why is she like this." Jordan says, i push her up to the wall

"Her mother just died, she might lose the job, that means the most to her.  You all hate her, and we all know, we would of all did the same thing." I said and i heard something go agianst the  counter. I look behind me and it was Brooke, slamming her badge against it. I ran over to her.

"Brooke."

"What, your going to tell me not to quit my job, ruin my life. Newsflash, my life is over, my job, my family, everything. Everything that ever felt like i was here." She said and pushed threw me. I looked at everybody.

"What did i say."

"Nothing." Jordan says, i start to think

"Your jealous of brooke, she gets the hard cases, she gets the ones that stay busy all night, she has everything you have ever wanted." I said

"No."

"Well, you just made a good fucking doctor quit, and probably has no intentions to come back, anytime soon." I said and i walked out, and she wasn't there. I walked back in and i walked to Gabys room. I walked in and Nicole was there.

"Guys, do you think you could help me." I asked

"That depends with what." Nicole asked

"Brooke." I said and they looked at me

"She quit, tell me she didn't quit her job." Gaby said

"Sorry."
"Do you know where she would go,  under this much stress." I ask them

"The bars, mostly on the north side." Nicole said

"Thanks guys, i hope we can find you a new liver soon, because Brooke dosent deserve to lose another person and especially her best friend." I said

"Oh, and if you find her. Tell her to keep this cause she might need it." I said and handed her, brookes badge.

Nicoles pov

I walked to my car and drove to Brookes sister grave yard. I see her sitting there, drinking a beer. "Brooke." I say, amd sit next to her

"I cant."

"I know, but you are a good dam doctor and you saved Gabys life."

"Like I'm going to get my job back."

"Drew, told me to give you this back to, cause you might need it. He cares for you, a lot."

"Yeah, he does."

"He does, and he doesn't want you to leave or quit."

"I have to leave." She said and stood up

"Your friends, family, everythings here Brooke."

"I need to start fresh."

"Not agian." I said and she looked at me

"Why not."

"You do it everytime something comes and you think you cant go over the obstacles." I say

"You did when your sister deid, you cut me Josh, Gaby, and Ivan off for months. Then something happened at home and you did it agian, then my brother and here we are agian having the exact same conversation." I said

"My life is confusing and we all know that."

"Well stay until your hearing, do it for drew. He cares for you, and wants the best for you." I said and she smiled
