Isis froze as she saw took in what she was being told. A coven of witches had summoned her degenerate brother to sire a child. A child with the power of Set and the tenacity of a witch. There was no way that anyone could be so stupid. Set was sought after because of his rash behavior. All she had ever done was try to protect the people, but Set had enjoyed as order fell away and people were allowed to their own devices.

This new age was bad enough as it was. People had thrown the gods to the side and there was nothing that could be done about it. Now the world was crumbling around them. They didn't believe in her or anything else. That meant that the things that went bump in the night had full reign of the day. Chaos was already upon them. The last thing they needed was the child of chaos running loose. Set was too powerful to be allowed to procreate without supervision.

There was only one thing that Isis could do. She had to find the witches that had allowed this travesty to occur and find the boy. At this point he had been under control and kept hidden, but soon enough the boy would take after his father's footsteps. He would lead the world into chaos and once he rose so would Set. Isis and Horus had kept Set at bay, but they were no match for the two.

It wasn't that Isis hadn't dealt with Set's many children over the years. The god was known to be promiscuous and loved every woman, human or otherwise. Those children, though, had either been too powerful and blew up her radar in mere years so she could take care of them or they had been with a normal human woman and were mortal. There was only so much that anyone could do in a hundred years.

Set procreating with a witch was different. Witches were highly evolved humans that had immense power over the primordial source. Most were mortal, but there were plenty that knew how to combat that. This new development meant that the boy was immortal. He could tap into the primordial power that created them and weren't allowed to touch as well as had his father's strength.

Set's power was immense. He had managed to contain Apep, the serpent of evil, and he was strong willed. With those two together, there were few that could best the god. Horus had his armies to keep Set restrained and under control until he disappeared all-together. As the god of foreigners, he had an uncanny knack of blending in well.

"Nye!" the goddess yelled as several things in her chambers flew into the walls, shattering on impact. She had to do something with this demi-god. He was going to be more powerful than Set. The only thing she had going for her was the fact that he was still young and didn't have the experience. She knew that there was no way that the witches were able to instill self-control into the boy. The boy came from chaos. There was no way to get that out of the boy.

"Mother," Isis turned and glared at her son. It wasn't that she was unhappy to see her fellow god, but the only one that could contend with her brother was her husband and he was stuck in the underworld, a place where Set made sure he stayed, "what's wrong?"

"Your uncle," Isis spat as she thought about the god that had always given her so much grief. He had taken her husband from her. Because of him she was only gifted with the one child that stood before her. Because of that monster her son had to fight from the day he was born. The monster had hunted her son and even taken his eye. The one in place of it was incomplete and had failed her son many times, "he has a son."

"So?" Horus crossed his arms over his chest as he recounted the many times he had taken care of this very problem for his mother, "This isn't the first time."

"Don't give me that tone!" she snapped as she tried to contain her rage to explain it to her son, "This time is different. A stupid coven invoked your uncle and now there's a demi-god with Set's powers that can tap into the primordial powers. If he is allowed to understand his full potential then that is the end for us."
