Y/N's POV
———————

I watch as my daughter tries on dresses for homecoming. The person that "helped" us, gave us an ugly look when Hailey had trouble with her dress.

"Baby, this one looks beautiful!" I say standing up and looking at the black dress. "How does it feel?" The lady asks.

"Is there a bigger size?" Hailey asks, it's then that I noticed she looks highly uncomfortable. "No. That's our biggest size." She says sticking her nose in the air.

I look around the boutique and see that the dresses on display are no bigger than a medium. Which confuses me. "Could we possibly order one?" I ask shyly. Mainly because she was giving me a scary look.

"Could your daughter possibly lose more weight?" The lady asks. My jaw drops open and I tell Hailey to change out of the dress. She walks back to the dressing room with sad eyes and a bowed head.

"Listen here you little stick—" But I was interrupted by Ashton blocking my view with his body. "Here's what's going to happen." He starts, "When my daughter comes out of the dressing room, you will apologize to her and my wife. When you're done you will pack your shit up and get the hell out of here." He says with strictness.

"Who are you to fire me, sir?" She says with bitterness. Just when the words came out of her mouth, the door we didn't hear open was closed. "He happens to be my best friend, funder, and the one signing your checks." A new voice says. I turn to see Bryana Holly, the owner of the small boutique and our family friend walk in.

A few years after Ashton's and Bryana's breakup, Bryana wanted to have her own boutiques and Ashton helped her start it out after the band broke up.

They both owned a clothing line that over the years became very successful. Ashton wanted something for women of all sizes and all styles to be able to come in and Bryana had the vision. It worked out in the best way possible.

"Aunt Bryana!" Hailey greets her once she comes back out from behind the curtain. "Hey, Sweetie! Find your homecoming dress yet?" She asks hugging her. "Well I liked this one dress but the lady said there wasn't a bigger size for me." She says sadly.

"Let's go check the back." She says taking her hand and leading her to the storage room.

"Why are you still here?" Ashton snaps at the girl who has wide eyes. "I'm leaving right now." She mumbles taking her name tag off and setting it on the counter.

"Don't ever body shame someone, ever again. I'll be sure to talk to other stores so you don't find another job soon." He says as she leaves. She never apologized but her leaving was better.

I sit him down on a small couch by the dressing rooms and calm him down by rubbing my hands over his upper body.

"Calm down, Ashton." I whisper in his ear. "That was not okay. Even if it wasn't my daughter or son in that situation." He says taking my hand and leading me around the small couch. He sits me on his lap and hugs me.

"You're an amazing dad." I say running my hand through his curls. He smiles in appreciation and kisses me.

"I love you, y/n." He smiles kissing me again.

"Mom, dad! They have the dress!" Hailey yells from the storage room as we giggle.
