What pain, what sorrow, what longing?

"They couldn't find any footages of Jimin in the complex," Kyulkyung said

"They couldn't find any footages of Jimin in the complex," Kyulkyung said.

"How could it be? He couldn't just have disappeared into thin air," Chaeyoung argued.

"Or could he have had possibly taken a secret passageway out?" she continued, her words soaked in sarcasm.

"Secret passageway? Miss are you implying he-"

"That's it! Check all the CCTV footages at the emergency exits," Kyulkyung told the guards.

The head guard immediately went to check the footage, praying there were signs of Jimin.

24 July 2018

A petite, weak looking figure is seen walking down the emergency exit stairs.

But Chaeyoung knew that figure too well.

Park Jimin.

"The emergency exit leads to the back, Chaeyoung, you have to find him as soon as possible," kyulkyung ordered.

"Okay!"

And with that, Chaeyoung dashed off.

She took the nearest exit out the back, so she could get to him faster.

She reached the back of the hospital, which happened to be a forest.

"Jimin?" she shouted.

"Jimin? Are you there? If you are, please answer me, I won't bite," Chaeyoung pleaded.

She continued looking for another 5 minutes.

She was screaming. She hoped that as her volume increased, her chances of finding him would too.

"Jimin, please!"

He was sitting in a corner, listening to her while smiling to himself.

It was just like when he was asleep.

Except this time, he could see her.

His Cinderella.

He slowly got up and walked towards her.

"Chaeyoungie?"

Her head turned towards him.

Chaeyoungie.

She knew it sounded too familiar, she couldn't put her head at rest without knowing the reason why she thought of it as something familiar.

Well, now she got her answer.

But at the same time, she needs more.

"Jimin?"

He smiled hearing his name, he started tearing up.

He ran to Chaeyoung, preparing for a welcome hug.

But no.

Chaeyoung put her hands out in front of her, as if they were shields.

She was shielding herself from Jimin.

Oh how that broke his heart.

"Chaeyoung?"

"J-Jimin, I'm sorry but, I don't really know you," she said, her voice shaking.

His heart dropped more, if that was even possible.

The only girl he ever laid his eyes on, the only girl he ever thought about.

His Cinderella.

His Cinderella forgot him.

All memories of him were forgotten.

And if her memories of him being forgotten weren't enough, he almost forgot how to speak.

More tears escaped his deep brown irises. But this time, they weren't happy tears.

They were tears of sorrow, of longing.

Most importantly, of pain.

The girl he longed for the whole time he was in his deep slumber, afraid of waking up, had forgotten him.

This was exactly why he was afraid of waking up.

He did not want to face the music.

"Chaeyoungie?"

Chaeyoung removed his hands off her slim figure.

"My Cinderella..." he mumbled.

Chaeyoung froze.

"I got you my Cinderella, you can't escape me now," a voice said.

"And you've got my heart too, my dear charming."

—————————————————————

"Chaeyoungie? Answer me, will you? You're scaring me," Jimin cried.

"I'm fine," Chaeyoung said.

A memory flashed across her mind.

A memory of him.

Although there were no names mentioned, she was sure it was Jimin in that memory.

But wait.

She was wrong.

This wasn't Sleeping Beauty's chapter.

It's Cinderella's.

It's Cinderella's chapter.

She saw it now.

The way she left her bracelet just like a glass slipper.

It hadn't been Sleeping beauty's chapter this whole time.
