Chapter 17: Chloé's Reason

Adrien's P.O.V.

I went out of the men's bathroom from the other exit since Lila, Chloe, & Sabrina were guarding the other exit. I just had to get to Mari without running into them. I ran from the my place in the bathroom to Nino who was munching on something, probably croissants. 

"Hey Nino! Have you seen Mari and Alya around?"

"Yeah, they came out of a room with Mari's parents about 10 minutes ago. Why?" Nino said.

"I want Mari to kick out, better yet ban some people from this palace, cough cough Chloe, Sabrina, & Lila cough cough. The people are after me because I broke up with one of them cough Lila cough." 

"Dude...no. Just don't. You sound retarded when you fake cough." Nino made a face. Huh. I really must have sounded bad.

"Anyways, you're making a huge deal about it. I don't think they would do anything, Chloe & Lila are all bark and no bite." Nino said sounding like a wise old owl man....

"I guess you're right." Nino's right I'm making a big deal out of something small, it's not like they would kill me...right?

"Bro I see them duck behind the table! I'll cover for you." Nino said. "Ha. When you say, 'cover for me' you mean eating, don't you." 

"Hehe, well um yes?" Nino answered. sigh. Typical Nino.

"Dude they walked past us and you weren't even hiding yet. I don't think they're after you."

I thought about it when I realized something...

"No, they're not after me, they're after Mari!" Nino looked at me weirdly. "That ain't new bruh."

"No no no, they must think that the reason I broke up with the b*tch was because I like Mari." I said blushing. I heard Nino gasp.

"YOU LIKE MARI! YES FINALLY I NEED TO TELL ALYA OH MY GOD BRO!" Not the reaction I was expecting but ok.

"We just need to focus on Mari's safety Nino, she's our friend!" 

"And the princess! Don't forget that." How could I we're in a freaking palace owned by her family.

Marinette's P.O.V.

"Girl I still can't believe this is YOUR palace!"

"Hehe yeah to be honest I can't either...what should we do to pass time?" I asked Alya

"Let's go find the guys." Alya said blushing. She had an obvious crush on Nino, and Nino had an obvious crush on her. Yet, they do not notice, how unfair can this world be? Ahem, anyways...

"I think I see them over there!" I waved, then blushed, remembering the conversation I had with my parents about future husbands.

"Yeah! They're heading towards us. They look serious." 

"Mari, Alya, Chloe, Lila, & Sabrina are after you." Nino said with absolutely no emotion in his voice.

"What? Why!?" This happens all the time, but at my coronation? I have lived through Chloé's tormenting long enough! No, not suicide. It is HER who will feel the wrath from the great and powerful Marinetta! (Not a typo lol) I must have gone through a weird series of hand motions and expressions because Alya, Nino, & Adrien were staring at me. I blushed and laughed awkwardly. 

"I kinda broke up with Lila and they think it's cause of you Marinette." Adrien said looking down.

Is it possible? No. Maybe? nah. Does he..? Probably not.

"Oh ok." 

"Speak of the devil" Alya rolled her eyes as the trio headed over.

"Hi Mari-trash! You call this a party? Oh puh-lease! A cow could throw a better party than this!" Chloe said. I should have left the party planning to the royal party planners...

Before I could say anything, Adrien walked up to Chloé and SLAPPED her! Yeah, no we all wish for that though.

"Chloé you used to be pleasant to be around. You were my only friend! A good one too! I know why you're acting like this but being mean won't bring your mom back Chloé." 

Chloé looked like she had been stabbed, she started sobbing.

"Adrien I think you went a little too far..." I said. Lila looked at me like, "No, DUH"

I actually felt bad for Chloé, I know she misses her mom.

Chloe's P.O.V.

"Chloé you used to be pleasant to be around. You were my only friend! A good one too! I know why you're acting like this but being mean won't bring your mom back Chloé." 

I felt like I was stabbed. I couldn't believe by dear Adri-kins would say that to me. The tears came rushing out. It felt good to cry. What am I saying. He's right, I'm too mean! I collapsed to the ground, embarrassed. 

I felt someone hug me. I looked up and saw Marinette hugging me. "A-after all I d-did to -sob- make you f-feel bad y-you still -sniff- help me?" I felt bad for everything I had done at that moment. I didn't care if my makeup and dress was ruined from the tears. I just let it out.

"Chloé I know you only pick on me because of what you've been through. Deep inside, your hurting. I'll help you no matter what you do!" Marinette smiled. Sometimes I don't understand why she's so kind.
