I screamed as loud as I could. He stood over me with a leather belt in one hand and a smashed up whiskey bottle in the other. He lashed me with the belt across my arm. It stung like crazy when it hit my bare skin. He tried to get me with the Whiskey bottle but I stopped it with my hand. I felt it cut through my skin but I ignored it. My own father, my own father was doing this to me. This isn’t the life I deserve, Johnny doesn’t deserve it either.
Johnny came bursting through the front door and knocked Dad over. He grabbed my arm and pulled me out the door. We ran until we lost out breath. We kept walking until we reached someones house. There was a group of boys there and they looked wide eyed when we walked in. Johnny showed the tallest one my hand and he immediately grabbed a first aid box. That must have been Darry. Even though I was thirteen I had never met Johnny’s gang. Only Soda and Steve at the DX one time. Johnny didn’t ever want me to meet the gang because he thought they weren’t the sort of people I ought to be hanging around. Johnny held me close while Darry and Soda stitched up my hand. It was worse than having each tooth ripped out individually. I woke up outside. It was freezing. I looked around to see where I was. I was sitting on the couch on the porch. Pony was next to me comforting me “Why am I out here?” I asked confused and sore.
“You passed out cold so we brought you out here to wake up. The fresh air did you good” He said shyly. He had a cute smirk on his face. I felt my eyes fill up with tears. I tried to fight it back but I couldn’t take it anymore.
“Tristin are you okay?” He put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me in tight. I cried into his chest. I looked back up at him and apologized “I’m sorry. It’s just that it’s tough”
“What’s tough?”
“It’s tough when I never feel safe, man, I don’t even feel safe in my own home around my own parents. And I can’t always rely on Johnny to come and save me” I tried to explain but I didn’t expect him to understand.
“If he isn’t there to save you then I will. I’ll always be there from now on” He said suddenly and I sank deeper into the couch “Why would you do that?” I asked. He put his hand under my chin and pulled my face up to his.
“Because your part of the gang now. That’s what we do for each other” He stated. I looked deep into his grey-green eyes that were so mesmerizing I could stare at them forever. He sighed “What?” I asked.
“Nothing. It’s just that. Your really pretty”
“You are too- I mean like for a guy. Ugh” I realized how stupid that sounded. I let my nerves get the better of me. He laughed and kissed my lips softly. He continued to hold me. Do I have feelings for Ponyboy Curtis? Is this the start of something? I don’t know, but I damn hope so.
I hope you like it :) It's obviously not one of my better imagines and i'm sorry about that! If it's really crap let me know and I will re-do it :)
