“Shut up!” I screamed at my alarm clock hoping that would shut it up but no. It continued to light my room with a green neon light reading 6:00am and blare an Elvis classic. I turned it off and forced my way out of bed and into the shower. Once I was out and dressed I put my brown hair into piggy tails. Yes, sounds stupid but the wavy piggy tails, chin length bangs and glasses looks good on me. I grabbed my converse and headed to school. I was walking down the street when someone came up behind me and grabbed my waist lifting me into the air. I screamed and elbowed them in the gut “Holy crap Sharon!” I turned around and it was Ponyboy. “I’m so sorry!” I hugged him tight kissing his lips sweetly. Even though Pony was my boyfriend I was still really shy around him. I suppose I’m shy around everyone. “You got me good there Sharon!” He said still rubbing his stomach where it would probably bruise by tomorrow. “Hey! A girl has to be ready!” He laughed and then winced.
The walk back home was the same everyday. Me singing a song we learnt in music class and Pony listening closely. He always says how much he loves my singing.
“Looks like it might rain tonight!” Pony stated “It’s raining men! Alleluia!” I sang loudly. He laughed hysterically before turning to me. “Sometimes I wonder if you should be Two-bits sister instead of Dally’s!” He laughed and grabbed my waist and pulled our chests together. I ran my fingers through his greased hair and kissed his neck softly. “You know Dal isn’t happy about us dating at all” I said to him in between kisses “Dal is never happy” He said. We stood there hugging for a second before it pelted down rain. We both stood there laughing, saturated “I love you” Pony said. He kissed me once more before we sprinted to his house.
