YOONGI POV

"Talking is toxic. Sure, it's a way of communication, but it's also a way of hurting people. For example, you can tell someone they look nice today. But you can also tell them that they look like trash and should go kill themselves. Sure, not everyone says that, but some people do. And some people are most people, because our world has some sort of image that "we" want people to fit into. If you don't fit into the image, you're not wanted and are an outcast. If a few people who fit this "image" think you don't belong, everyone who wants to fit the image will agree. But what is this "image" you may ask. People want skinny, slim thicc, breast that aren't too big nor too small, skim waist, light skin tone for women. Muscle, manly, afraid of nothing, player, jock, for men. As you can see women are often stereotyped a lot. If a girl sleeps with multiple men, a slut. If a guy sleeps with multiple girls, they're the man or player. But we also have homophobic people, the people who think the LGTIQP+ committee is disgusting. That if you don't only like the opposite gender you're not human and should be treated differently. But in reality we're all human. Which brings me back to my point, no talking would solve all our problems. But it could also create more problems. Businesses would go crashing down, people will be killing each other, no one will have jobs, kids will be depressed, everyone will hate each other. But if we don't ban talking, more suicide cases, teens killing their friends, more therapist will be needed to treat depressed kids that are being bullied. This case is tough and can change our future for the worse and for the better," I said and finally look up to realize all eyes were on me.

"Wow," Ms. Chang said. "That was...wow, I'm speechless, " her eyes were wide with shock.

Finally, someone is proud of me.
