Chapter 8

Candy's POV

Today I have a doctors' appointment so that I and Jasen can check on the babies. The ride to the doctors office was awkward its like Jasen was in a whole different world. I didn't have anyone to talk to because Jase was spending the weekend with my parents.

"Jasen wassup with you?", I asked

"Nothing", he said dryly

I just left it alone because I definitely didn't feel like fighting with his ass today. I began to flip through radio stations until I came across Q106.5 and "Silly" by Denice Williams was playing and it made me start to think of me and Jasen. Its like lately he pays me no attention and its hurts to know that I just don't make him happy anymore.

"Jasen do I still make you happy?", I asked him holding back tears

"Yes Camille what would make you ask that silly shit", he said looking at me

"It's just that you barely pay attention to me anymore", I said now full out crying

"I'm sorry baby I love you and I just been so wrapped up with some mess but I'll get it together I promise", he said wiping my tears and pulling into a parking space at the doctors'

Jasen's POV

This shit with Amiya has got my head gone for a loop. Yesterday me and the guys found a rookie bomb and a note attached in the trap. Man this girl has really lost her damn mind I can't wait to get my hands on that bitch. Then Camille always wants me to spend quality time with her when I just can't right now I wish I could make her understand. Today I was going to take her to meet my pops after the appointment.

*1 hour later*

The babies are all healthy but it looks as if they'll be here a little earlier then expected due to their size. I was pumped about it now off to the prison.

"Jasen where are we going", Camille asked

"To meet someone baby just take a nap til we get there", I said

I knew her little ass was tired she was out like a light as soon as that sentence left my mouth.

*20 minutes later*

When we pulled up I woke my baby up and she looked like she'd seen a ghost.

"Why are we here babe", she asked

"To meet someone", I said getting out and opening her door

When we got past the guards they called my dad and when he came around the corner I didn't even recognize him he'd gotten buffer his once black curly hair was now greyed and braided straight back. I was happy to see my pops though it didn't matter how he looked.

"Boy I see you finally decided to come see your old man", he said pulling me into a hug

"Wassup pops", I said returning the hug

"And who is this sexy little chocolate thing", he said licking his lip and looking in Camille's direction

"Pops this is my baby Camille , Camille this is my father", I said introducing them

"Hey sweetie", he said pulling her into a hug

"So son whats been up", pops asked me

"Man shit is crazy Amiya's crazy ass stirring up all kinda trouble but what I really came to do was to let you and Camille get to know eachother", I said

"Cool shit son , so MsCamille you fell in love with this knuckle head son of mines huh", he asked her laughing

"Sadly", she said back

"Well i'm glad he found a girl like you to keep his head straight and I see i'm about to be a grand dad huh", he said rubbing her stomach

"Yes sir two boys and a girl", Camille said smiling

"Damn son you been working huh", my dad said laughing

"Well you know", I said chuckling too

Camille's face was blushed out.

"20 minutes left King", the guard called

"Camille it was nice meeting you darling you're stunning and please stick by my son through all his bullshit. he didn't have the best childhood so just bare with him baby. I love you guys", pops said before the officers came to escort him back to his cell

Candy's POV

It was so sweet to see how Jasen and his father acted together. It was weird though because Jasen has never mentioned his parents to me.

"Jasen where's your mother", I asked

I saw him grip the steering wheel tighter so I decided to leave it alone.

"Nevermind", I said

My mind still wondered though and why was pops in jail were all the questions that ran through my head. But I wasn't going to push the issue if Jasen didn't wanna talk about it.

"Camille look My father and my mother were my role models until one day my dad caught my mother cheating and he kicked her out on the streets, It hurt me like hell and I resented my dad for that but hell I didn't understand how bad shit had gotten I found out that my mother was working with my fathers' sworn enemy to take my dad down. On my twelfth birthday the cops came and took my dad and that bitch stood there laughing. She took me and then she sold me for drugs to a pimp but I ran away from that bullshit and that's when I bumped into you father and got into the game and lived with my grandma every since", he said with one tear running down his face

I didn't know what to say or how to react.

"I'm sorry baby", I said grabbing his free hand

The rest of the ride home was silent.

Jasen's POV

Its felt so much better having that off my chest and actually telling Camille. Now all I had to worry about was this Amiya shit.
