I woke up early to the smell of breakfast eggs. [ not to be mistaken with the all mighty dinner e g g ] Terry was already dressed for church and ordered me to go do so myself. I changed into my green dress and did my hair in my usual bun making sure a few waved strands of hair stuck out. [ I did a crappy starter pack thingy ? for her outfit just in case it didnt make sense. Its @ the vv top.] I took one last look in the vanity before I went to go eat.

We arrived at the front of the church. On the way there Terry reminded me that this is the town's first time officially seeing us , and that I needed to ignore any sort of judgment that came our way.

"There has been rumors that were ... diffrent then the others." Terry said with a sigh. " Us attending church will most definitely draw attention to us, but whatever you do remember we're here to pray and thank God for our blessings." Terry gave Daisy a small smile.

We walked inside and the normal tone chatter soon turned in to whispers and mumbles. All eyes were on us like we were from a different planet. Terry and I sat down causing the family next to us to glare and scoot away from us. I went close to Terry's ear as if I was telling her a secret my hand covering my mouth. "If I do this, I fit right in." I whispered into Terry's ears. She grew a small smile as she looked at me making me giggle at my own joke. The priest cleared his throat and with that the room fell silent and mass began.

Just like many people in the church, my eyes stayed focused on the girl about my age. I watched as she avoided eye contact and when she smiled and laughed to the woman beside her, probably her mother, after she whispered something into her ear. I just cant seem to stop glancing her way. She's just very pretty. The way the simple green dress complements her beautiful skin , and how the strands of her hair fall on her face ever so slightly , or how her eyes fill with light when she smiles. She's surely a sight for sore eyes. [ Gilbert come on now your heart eyes are showing ]

The mass ended and aunt Terey and I were on our way back home tired of being stared at. "Excuse me ma'am ?" Both of us stopped in our tracks to turn around to meet the face of a boy my age. "Hello sir. May we help you ?" Terry answered with a fake smile. "Hello I'm Gilbert Blythe. I believe you are my new neighbor so on mine and my fathers behalf welcome to Avonlea." He smiled and put out his hand to Terry who looked shocked and happy. Smiling a real smile. "Blythe? As in John Blythe?" The boy, Gilbert nodded his head. "Do you know him?" Terry laughed. "Well of course! Me and him go way back!" Gilbert then invited us over later today for some tea so our parents could catch up. "Oh and excuse my manners I'm Terry and shes Daisy. "

She stuck out her hand and smiled. The smile where her eyes light up. "Hello Gilbert. It's a nice to meet you." I shook her soft hand that my heart practically melted in, with a smile. With that we were all on our way.

I tell my dad about our interactions. "Terry Robinson? Oh I dont mind having them over at all. We were great friends when we were younger!" He grin faded into a small smile. I gave him a questioning look and sat down. "Terry's sister, Jasmine who was also a good friend of mine, she passed away. Her boyfriend soon to be husband died a year before from something called Alzheimer's disease. He forgot many things and his brain started to die out slowly until- " he sighed. "Jasmine's grief stayed with her until one day she got overwhelmed and ended her own life." Daisy is such a ray of sunshine it's awful this had ever happened to her. I frowned. "Poor Daisy was so young when she lost he parents. I can't imagine what's she's been through. Gil you make sure you're a good friend to her." I nodded. Well that was the plan since the moment she walked in.

Later on that day we knocked at the door to the Blythe household. John Blythe came to go answer it. "Terry long time no see! Come on in!" Terry smiled and walked in with our carrot cake. "Hello Daaissy." He said my name in an extended way making me smile and laugh a bit. "Hello Mr. Blythe its a pleasure." He smiled. "Call me John. I'm sure you've met my son, Gilbert he'll show you were to put down your things." I turned to give a small smile and walked with the boy.

"Gilbert do you like Avonlea?" Daisy asked out of pure curiosity. Gilbert nodded, " Of course it's my home, but truthfully I want to get out of here and travel the world like my dad." Gilbert explained to a very intrigued Daisy. "That sounds lovely. Personally I wish to go to Italy one day. My mother met dad there and when she could she would tell stories of her time there. Italy seems remarkable." Gilbert listen to the girl talk about her dream and smiled at her passion for it.

When they sat down Terry and John were already laughing red at their memories. John would occasionally cough from all the laughter, Gilbert usually looking at him in concern. For the most part Gilbert was glad to see his dad so happy. Daisy could say the same for Terry.

"What made you move here?" Gilbert asked Daisy. She explained the deal she made with Terry. "Mhm I dont know what got into me that day. Or why I didnt just make cookies to make you feel better." Terry said making Daisy laugh. Gilbert chuckled and looked at her as she laughed. His dad watched as Gilbert looked at the girl and smiled.

Gilbert and Daisy went off on there own walking around. Talking about whatever comes to mind. Daisy studied the boys face.

'Woah he's really- woah.' I was in the uttermost disbelief that someone could be this attractive and nice. Something has to be wrong with this kid. "You're not a crazy person are you?" Did I really just-? Gilbert looked at me in confusion. "I'm sorry. It's just your really sweet and to me of all people. I just want to make sure you weren't forced to be this kind to me." Gilbert chuckled. "Of course not it was my decision. Im glad i decided to talk to you. You're actually really great friend so far." He gave a charming smile to the girl. Daisy grinned at the turm he used. Her heart melted "Gilbert Blythe you are now officially my first friend from Avonlea."
