When Frisk opened his eyes again, he was back in the ruins lying in the flower bed. Sitting up, he looked up at the clear blue sky above, thinking of his friend's sacrifice that gave them all of this to enjoy. Just thinking of Chara made him want to tear up again, but then he remembered something. Chara wanted to fix everything that he said he had ruined for everyone.

Standing up now, he ran back towards his home, back to where he knew Toriel and Asgore were waiting for him, only to stop when he saw Asriel hesitating outside the door. He seemed shocked to be here, but at the same time, he was happy. He didn't have any idea of what happened, or what Chara did to give him that body back.

"Asriel?" Frisk called out, making the goat boy turn around. "Asriel! It worked! Chara did it!" He couldn't help but run over to his friend, hugging him tightly as he did so. "He fixed you. You're back!"

Asriel smiled at him, slightly confused as he returned the hug. "Chara did this? But he's been gone for years, so how could he possibly do this?"

"It's a long story, so I'll tell you later. Is mom and dad inside?" Frisk asked him, wanting to see them for himself. If Asriel was here and well, then that must mean everyone was okay again. Papyrus was probably hanging around Sans or Undyne. "Come on, what are you waiting for?"

"I'm scared, Frisk. The last time I seen them like this, I died, remember? Chara and I had died... What if they don't want me like this?" Asriel asked, knowing it was a silly question. He couldn't resist asking it anyways. It's been a long time since Asriel has had his own body back, and waking up this morning out in a patch of yellow flowers was strange to him. He didn't even remember going there in the first place.

Frisk shook his head no as if to say that was ridiculous. "Mom and dad love you unconditionally. Come on, I'll go in with you." Taking his furry hand in his, Frisk gave Asriel a kind smile as he said, "we'll go in together."

With Frisk at his side, Asriel opened the door in front of them before stepping in. Together they walking into the living room where they saw Asgore reading the newspaper at the table while Toriel was baking in the other room. Neither of the two looked their way, possibly not even hearing them come in.

"Mom? Dad?" Asriel called out to them, making them freeze where they were. Slowly, each of them looked at the boys, blinking a couple times to prove to themselves that what they were seeing right now in front of them was indeed real. Unable to believe what they were seeing, Toriel dropped what she was holding and stared at the boy she had lost with tear filled eyes. Asgore couldn't believe it either, but seemed to recover much faster than his wife and gave the boy his biggest smile. "Um... I'm home."

Without a second thought, Toriel ran to his side and pulled Asriel in for a hug, squeezing him as tight as she could to prove that he was real. She needed to prove to herself that she was not dreaming about this. She couldn't help but ask what had happened before saying, "Asriel. My sweet Asriel."

Asgore joined in on the hug as Asriel started to cry with tears of joy. Frisk watched them with a smile before being pulled in as well, but he still couldn't help but feel this family just wasn't complete yet. One more Dreemur was missing from this happy occasion.

"How did this happen? Frisk, did you do this?" Asgore asked, unable to hide his smile. He couldn't help but feel incredibly magnificent to see his sons again, that it made him wonder what exactly happened. No monster alive held the power to repair this kind of damage. In fact, he didn't even think a human soul would have had this type of power.

Frisk shook his head no, not wanting to take credit for something he didn't do. After all, the credit was not his to take. The hero of this story was not him this time. It was the boy lost in time.
