Song in multimedia: Moneybagg Yo- Walker Holmes (Made for the end of the chapter)

Almost a week after running into her aunt, Ebony and her brothers are finally getting the opportunity to catch up with their family. They all came to a decision to meet at their uncle Leroy's house for dinner. Before going to his house, they met up at Sharon's because they all were riding together in Xavier's truck. Wearing a black dress with a pair of tall black stilettos, Ebony sat on Sharon's couch as they all waited for Hakeem to show.

"Is this nigga even coming?" Dee sighed.

"He just texted me and said he down the street." Ebony checked her phone.

"Did he not get the message saying to be here at five-thirty?" Dee looked outside.

"It's only a quarter till six." Sharon told him.

"There he is." Rashad said.

"Sorry we're late, I just got off and I wanted to change clothes." Megan came into the house with Hakeem and Kayla on the side of her.

"Megan you coming too?" Ebony asked.

"Yeah, Hakeem asked me to. Is that okay?"

"Yeah, that's cool. We got room." Xavier said.

"Come here, my baby. You sleepy?" Sharon took Kayla because she was watching her while they were all gone.

"When y'all get back y'all be sure to tell me and your uncle how everything went." Sharon said as they prepared to leave.

"Fingers crossed." Ebony grinned and shut the door behind her.

Everyone got in the truck and Xavier put the address in his navigation system. Rashad sat in the passenger seat, Ebony and Hakeem sat in the middle with Demetrius on Ebony's end and Megan on Hakeem's. They all sat quietly and the silence was killing Ebony. She was already nervous enough and this made it worse.

"I hope they don't be asking questions about our life. Don't ask me shit about college or no types of school." Ebony said to spark a conversation.

"On God, don't ask me nothing bout what I do for a living." Rashad shook his head.

"Facts. I'm Ebony, and I'm a professional shoplifter." Ebony joked.

"My accomplishments include catching four bodies in one night, running from the police, and I scored a perfect ten out of ten from my customer reviews." Hakeem laughed, finally saying something.

"Y'all stupid as fuck." Xavier laughed.

"Is y'all nervous? Cause I am." Ebony said with butterflies in her stomach.

"A little." Demetrius answered.

"Nervous for what?" Xavier asked.

"Because we meeting strangers, but they family. She said we got a lot of cousins and a grandpa, this weird to me."
