The wind was was howling, pushing it's way through the streets, trying to run away with some unsuspecting person's hat.

In the streets their were more cats then people, glaring at eachother through wide eyes, and chasing eachother like rabid dogs, yowling and screeching.

Many owls hunted in the night, silently flying overhead.

But ten year old Arlayna Creevey was not aware of this. She was seated in a rickety public bus that appeared as if even the gentlest touch could send it's parts flying in every direction.

Arlayna was leaning over a book, her eyes slightly watery.

She glanced to the window with an inward sigh. Her foster parents would not care that she had come late. They had a very simple relationship, they did not care what she did, or care about her at all, and she felt nothing for them.

Arlayna jumped as the bus jolted as it tried to stop, making a sharp turn instead, flying off the cliff near the road.

The driver screamed.

Arlayna could not make a noise, she moved her mouth in a soundless scream, and a sudden flash of light consumed her senses.

Nobody will care anyways. Was her last thought, as she was consumed by the blinding light.
