The next day

Finn's POV

I was running to my class, I was late. Why did it take so long to get ready? I rushed in the class, ignoring the laughs and the mean look the teacher gave me. I immediately saw Jack looking at me, patting the empty chair next to him. I started walking towards him.

"Um sorry I was late", I whispered.

"It's okay" he said giggling.

"So are you coming over after school?" I asked.

"Sure", he said smiling.

"Mr. Wolfhard? Don't you have something to say?" the teacher asked me raising one eyebrow.

"Um yeah... Sorry I was late. Will never happen again.", I said blushing and sat down.

"Hey, it's okay. Everyone is late sometimes", Jack whispered getting closer.

I looked at him and smiled. I started blushing again and looked away. That class was awkward. When the bell rang we started walking towards Millie and Noah. Suddenly, I felt someone pushing me. I fell on the floor. When I looked back I saw Chuck, the bully. He was laughing. "Oh boy, look at your man. He can't even protect himself. What a loser!" he said. 

"Oh my God, Finn! Are you okay?" Jack asked terrified. 

"Yes Jack, I'm fine. I just fell", I said while getting up.

"Why do they hate us?", he asked.

"I don't know", I sighed.

"Let's get out of here!" Jack suggested.

"Do you want to skip school already?" I asked letting out a little laugh.

"Um.. yeah if there are bullies trying to kill us", he said.

"Relax, that was all for today hopefully", I said putting my hand on his shoulder.

Noah and Millie walked to us.

"Um... what happened, guys? Why didn't you come?" Millie asked.

"Oh nothing, we just went to my locker.", I said.

"FINN ALMOST GOT KILLED!" Jack yelled.

"Chuck again?" she asked me.

"Yeah, but he just pushed me. It wasn't something serious.", I said giving Jack a weird look.

"Oh okay, my mom was wondering if you couldn't come to my place later?", Millie asked smiling.

"Uhmm.. I don't know. I have to go to the library later." I replied.

"Oh fine", she said rolling her eyes.

"Well, see you guys later", Noah said giving us weird stares.

"Okay bye", Jack and I said.

He suddenly turned to me. "Why didn't you tell them?"

"Uhm.. I don't know, I thought it was weird if I would have told them", I said looking into his deep brown eyes.

"Weird?" he asked. "Why would it be weird? Am I weird?"

"No, Jack. You're one of the nicest guys here", I added.

"Oh, thanks. Well I have to go to my locker, see you after school?"

"Yeah". I watched him walk away. It sucked that we only had the first period together. 

Jack's POV 

Does he think I'm weird? What the fuck? Why would he hide the fact that I was going to go at his place? Whatever, maybe he just doesn't like me. I started walking towards my locker. 

"Hey, dog shit!" someone yelled. I was DEAD. Finn wasn't there anymore and this guy called Chuck started following me.

I started walking faster and faster. But I knew I was still going to die anyways, so I stopped. My heart was pounding really fast. I slowly turned back. The guy was coming for me. 

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I yelled.

"I want you to fucking die, gay ass", he started laughing.

What was his problem? Why me? What did I do?

"Chuck!" a voice said.

Not Finn again.

"What is this?" he asked. It wasn't Finn. It was the... the principal! I was so happy!

"I just wanted to show him something..." Chuck lied.

"Enough, come in my office! Right now!" he said mad. I let out a big sigh.

After school

Finn's POV

"Jack! Here you are! I searched for you everywhere!" I said laughing.

"Yeah... so are we going to your place now?" he asked looking down.

"Yeah, let's go", I said. 

Was he upset? What happened? He wasn't happy.

At home 

I opened the door and I saw my mom in the living room, watching TV. As soon as she saw us, she came right to us. "Hey, you must be Jack, your mom told me a lot about you! Well I hope you and Finn will become best friends. Are you hungry? I can make something", she said.

"Um.. I'm not hungry right now", Jack said blushing.

"Well, bye mom. We're going to my room, and if we're hungry we will just order some pizza", I added.

"Okay", she replied.

We headed to my room. When I opened the door, Jack had wide eyes.

"Your room is awesome", he said.

"Heh, not the best", I replied.

We both sat on my bed. There was complete silence. Jack was just inspecting my room, and I was inspecting him. Damn, he was pretty. "So, um, Jack. Wanna watch something?" I broke the silence.

"Yeah, sure. Whatever you want", he said.

Jack's POV

Did he hate me? Should I tell him about what happened after I left?

"Hey, um. You don't seem so happy, did something happen?" Finn asked.

"I- um.. I.. After I left you.." I started. Finn looked confused and scared at the same time. "Chuck started calling me dog shit and he started following me..." I added.

"Oh no..." he said. "I shouldn't have left you alone!" Finn yelled at himself.

"No, it's fine. I didn't get hurt, the principal arrived at the perfect time." I said smiling.

"Okay, I'm happy that you didn't get hurt, but I'm still sorry", he said.

"Finn, it's okay, you didn't know."

"Are you sure you're alright?" he said with a sad face.

"Yeah, I'm 100% sure" I smiled.

He pulled me into a hug. I could feel his heart beat slow down while we hugged. It was the most perfect hug ever! I mean, it was just a hug. What am I saying? Finn is just a friend.

Finn's POV

I snapped and hugged him. I didn't want to let him go. I wanted to keep him in my arms forever. He was the most precious thing that I've ever seen in my life. Yeah, I definitely have a crush on him. But it's just a crush. Nothing will happen. We're just friends, after all.
