Grace Lane just wanted to be alone. Alone was safer and alone was happier. She was going to die in the end anyway and by being alone less people would be hurt. That is until Luke Hemmings moves next door.
"Sadness is contagiuous." i stated, turning my head away from the blonde haired boy. i pulled at the end of my sleeves, covering my hands as much as i could. luke let out a sigh and placed his hand on my chin, turning my head towards him.
"sadness isn't contagious, sadness is a side effect of something else." luke said matter of factly. he brought his face closer to mine and i could feel his warm, minty breath hitting my face.
"yeah, maybe you're right. it's a side effect of dying...alone." i pulled my face out of his grip and stood up from the swing set, making my way home.
"you'll never be alone when you're with me."
