It hurts

It hurts so bad

His back is aching from the scratches of the jagged rocks.

His heart is racing.

Everything is dark.

Why is everything dark.

His leg's are numb but he doesn't stop kicking.

He feels suffocated.

Why is air so hard to find.

Pain.

Dark.

Darkness.

Darkness.

And then he wakes up.

Jisung jerks awake, gasping quietly for air as if he had really been being suffocating. He tries to be quiet seeing as he is sharing a room with many others.

'You're fine Jisung. It was just a dream. Go back to sleep.' Jisung told himself in his head, repeating the words over and over again, yet it didn't calm his racing heart and he couldn't get to sleep.

Finally after about a solid 45 minutes of tossing and turning, trying to find slumber, he gave up. He stood up, wrapping his small blanket around himself and walked over to Minho who was asleep.

Jisung gently sat next to him, he lied down next to the older boy and rested his head on his chest.

Sure it was a risk, but he needed sleep if he was ever going to get better. And unfortunately for him at the moment, the thing that soothed him most when upset, was listening to Minho heartbeat.

Jisung felt Minho stir and quickly tried to pull away but Minho wasted no time in wrapping his arms around him and pulling him closer.

Jisung groaned quietly as he knew Minho was smirking like an idiot right now.

"I'm still mad at you, you know?" He whispered, looking up a little to see the exact smirk he predicted.

"Shh." Minho said with a chuckle.

Jisung rolled his eyes before closing them.

'I don't care if he is being a douche, I need some sleep.' Was Jisung's last thought before finally drifting off to sleep again.

They were woken up by Seungmin shaking Jisung.

"What?" Jisung asked, sleep evident in his voice.

"Wake up, I finally arranged a doctor's appointment for you. You need to get ready, it's in a few hours. And we cannot be late. It's super hard to get appointments in places like this with all the muggings and assault that happen, so get. up." Seungmin said, his tone harsh but he had a smile on his face.

Jisung nodded and stood up, walking away from Minho without a word.

~About 2 hours later~

Jisung was called into the room, all of the boys followed, the doctor greeting them all and asking some of their the names to be polite.

The visit was average, Jisung explaining his whole ordeal, the doctor gave him some pills and a special ointment and sent him on his way.

However, Jeongin forgot his bag.

Jeongin walked back into the office, not thinking twice about knocking or making his presence known. When he hears something.

He hears the man talking on the phone...?

Jeongin slowly creeps closer to the small side-office of the room, and listened in.

"Yes officer, I'm sure it's them. Names and all, it's the kids from the police posters."

Jeongin's eyes widened.

Did he mean them?

"Yes ma'am, all of them. I made sure to ask for their names just to check. Well, I didn't recognize three of them, and two of them didn't give me a name. But I know for a fact it was the Jisung one, along with ones named Woojin, Minho, and Chan. They can't be far from the hospital now, seeing as I just dismissed them." There was a pause. "Yes ma'am, I thought about keeping them longer but I didn't want to rise suspicions with our policy being quickness." Another pause. "Okay, thank you so much officer, Bye."

When Jeongin heard the man say bye he immediately grabbed his bag and bolted to the others.

"Guys! Guys we have to go right now! I heard the doctor on the phone reporting the labbies to the police! Let's go!" Jeongin said, frantically spewing words as he tugged on Hyunjin's sleeve.

"What!? Why did he report them to the police?" Seungmin asked, pulling him away from Hyunjin before he broke the poor boy's arm.

"Apparently they are wanted and he recognized their faces and names from police posters!" Jeongin said, still 100% anxious and ready to flee the country.

Suddenly the heard loud sirens. Everyone froze.

Jeongin began cowering as if there were already police there pointing guns at him. "Oh great, we're doomed! I'm too young for prison! Especially a gross District 3 prison!"

"Shut up Jeongin, I'm thinking." Hyunjin said, slapping him on the chest. "Look for an exit, any exit, we'll make it work."

They looked around slightly before Jisung saw a rusted over red EXIT sign. "There!" He said, pointing.

Jisung climbed on Chan's back and they all sprinted for the exit.

They all breathed a sigh of relief when they saw no police cars.

"We have no time to sit here and admire the scenery, let's go!" Seungmin said before taking off down an alleyway.

"Look! There!" Jeongin said, pointing at a beaten up blue van sitting on the side of the road. Jeongin ran to the vehicle and opened the door, jumping right in. He quickly pulled out a knife from his bag and cut a wire under the floor board, cut another wire, and finally sparked up the engine in the van.

All of the others were standing around the van with their mouths agape as they watched the scene unfold. Jeongin looks back at their shocked expressions.

"...What? I grew up on the street of District 16 since I was like 6. You think I don't know a thing or two?" He smirks, everyone remaining speechless. They were finally broke from their stupor when they heard a siren chirp from nearby.

They all quickly ran to the van, jumping in wherever they fit. Hyunjin had to push Jeongin out of the front seat because he didn't plan on letting this tiny 17 year old lead a high speed chase. Hyunjin pressed the petal to the floor and shakily steered it through the narrow alley.

They hear another siren chirp, and suddenly see something that made all of their hearts sink.

Red lights and loud sirens coming right on their tail.
