Going Home - Chapter 5

Sam's p.o.v
I woke to my alarm blaring, then I remembered Colby was in hospital the thought of that made me upset, I also remember what Corey said but I don't know what he meant. I got up, got dressed and went downstairs to grab some breakfast.

"Hey sam, How was your night ?" Corey asked with a weird smile on his face
"Fine, thanks and yours ?" I asked back
"Oh you know the usual, spending time with my GIRLFRIEND" he said making me feel guilty and relieved I broke up with kat
"Well, I don't have one anymore" I said reminding him of last night
"How's Colby ?" He asked
"Corey, how do I know I've only just woken up" I said
"I know sam" Corey said which made me feel scared
"Know what ?" I asked as he sat on a chair in the kitchen
"You, Colby and kat, situation" he said very sketchy
"I literally have no idea what you are talking about" I said trying to seem dumb
"You broke up with kat because of Colby, you like him don't you ?" He said and I can't believe he got it spot on, how the hell did he figure that out

I had been silent for about three minutes before I decided to speak
"Me and Colby, what makes you think that ?" I said like it wasn't true
"I heard you guys yesterday, in the garage" he said making me realise he must have been outside the garage next to his car
"Yeah I heard every word" he continued to speak
"You won't tell anyone, will you ?" I said trying to threaten him but it didn't work
"No but I would like to know, how long this has been going on" he said
"Well what you heard was me telling him I liked him for the first time" I said but Corey didn't believe it

I left Corey shaking his head at my choice. I walked up stairs to put my shoes on so I could visit Colby.

Colby's p.o.v

I had a feeling sam would come to visit me today, after yesterday I was kinda counting on it. I had been staring the door to my room ever since I woke up waiting for him to walk through, I missed him like crazy.
After staring at the door for about 3 hours, which seemed more like 3 days he appeared.

"Hey Colby,  are you okay ?" He asked kissing my cheek.
"Yeah I'm fine, I missed you though" I told him, which made him smile
"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked once again fussing over me like I was a child
"Sam, I assure you I'm completely fine" I told him
"So can you leave yet ?" He asked
"I can but I'm not coming home, can you fetch my stuff for me ?" I asked knowing he would do it for me
"Yeah but where are you going ?" He asked
"Home, Kansas home" I said and his face dropped
"Why ?" He questioned me
"I need some space and time to think about what happened, also I think it will help my recovery" I said but he still looked like I had killed a puppy right in front of him
"So we're going home then ?" He said like he was coming with me but I didn't want him to
"No I'm going alone" I said and I went into the toilet I my room to change into the clothes I had been wearing the day of my accident.

Hope you enjoy this part it's very short but I haven't been well.

Will Colby see sense and stay in la ?
Or will sam follow Colby back to Kansas ?
And will this end in happy ever after for anyone ?
