Robbie's POV
Without hesitation, I ran towards the chapel, towards the direction of the Senior Highschool building, avoiding the panicking crowds and the newly reformed things from yesterday. Rhonwen followed behind, barely keeping up with me as we ran towards the building. The whole time Rhonwen looked at me with an odd face. It wasn't long until he started to ask questions about my whereabouts yesterday.
Rhonwen: Wanna talk about where were you this whole time now, Robbie?
Robbie: I said its a long story, we'll talk about it later.
Rhonwen: Oh come on, Robbie! You might-
Robbie: I said we'll talk about it later!
I grabbed his wrist and ran as fast as my feet would take me. Debris was everywhere, students were scattered, some in groups, others by themselves. It felt like we've already run a hundred miles as we ran and those things would eventually try to catch us on our way there. Adrenaline rushed through my veins as we charged for the chapel, sweat running down my limbs as each stride took us closer to Aaron.
I felt my legs giving out as we neared the chapel. Rhonwen seemed like he was beginning to pick up his own speed. Either that or I started to slow down as I ran out of stamina to keep me going, until...
Aaron's POV
I woke up to the noise of screaming children. My peace in my sleep was broken, and now im back to the real world.
I looked back at my hand and saw the orb floating on my hand. It was annoying, really, to be forced to a very big responsibility. I shouldn't have touched it in the first place.
I should get going. I can't help these people, I don't know how to use this orb. I'm a burden.
There must be another way out at gate 14.
I went there.
I was stopped by what looks like a very tall machine, in a shape of a human with glowing eyes and a glowing circle on its chest. It was obviously hostile.
"HEY, THERE YOU ARE"
Someone called me. It must be that Paul guy again. I checked. It was Rhonwen and Robbie, running and looking tired.
Rhonwen: FUCK ME AND MY CRAMPS
Robbie: Hey where are you going?
Aaron: Out of here. I was stopped by this thing over here
Rhonwen: WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING
Rhonwen: AARON DO THAT THING YOU DID YESTERDAY. TURN THEM ALL TO DUST!Aaron: I DON'T KNOW HOW
The moment the machine raised its leg and started to walking to us, we knew what we had to do. We ran, running as fast as we could. But it was pointless to do so.
We were 10 meters away from the machine and it quickly outran us in a matter of 2 seconds, kicking Robbie and Rhonwen away with extensive force causing them to land hard on their backs.
I was left as the machine's target. I was a prey in sight.
The machine lifted its leg up, and started to slowly crush me under its feet.It was a horrible experience. I felt that my ribs were about to crack, and my heart felt like it would explain at any time.
