I woke up to the sound of a girl waking me up, followed by the sound of a horn. The horn was something I've heard probably every week, and so I knew.
Rex: K..Karylle?? What are you doing in my room? Where's Paul?
Karylle: Just wake up!!
She grabbed my hand and dragged me off the bed. We ran going out of my room and into the outer campus. I didn't have the chance to change my clothes or take a bath. What could've been too important, for someone not even close to me to call me in my bed.
We ran outside, through the main gate of the inner campus running quickly past by the houses around us. It seems like a lot of people woke up from the sound. The sound is coming from everywhere, and everyone seems to be rushing to the extremities of the outer campus, right next to the outer forcefield.
We almost reached the crowd gathering by the forcefield, when gunshots appeared. They were loud, and mostly everyone got scattered hearing them.
As we were about to reach the crowd a guy stopped us.
Phil: REX!!!
Karylle: PHIL!!!
Rex: WHAT IS HAPPENING!
The horn was too loud, making us not understand each other clearly. It was surely obvious what the horn was for. I've heard it for 10 times now and this seems to be the 11th.
I went closer into the crowd, and from afar I saw small guns firing from the edge of the forcefield, shooting at what looked like running androidekans. I have seen this situation so many times yet, the fear of having the possibility of them breaking the forcefield is...terrorizing. To have at least one break the peace we keep here in the campus.
I haven't went up close with one, but the way they walk, they run, they move, or even with the sounds they make makes the androidekan so terrifying. Their arms and legs move in an athletic pace, the only difference being faster, stronger, deadlier, efficient killing machines.
After a few moments the wave stopped. The gunshots silenced, and the crowd went back to their normal lives.
The 11th wave has ended.
After what had just happened, we...went to the canteen and resume with our daily lives. But with Karylle this time.We went to the lines to order the typical carbonara. Karylle went somewhere else to get the typical american breakfast, bacon and sunny-side up, but with rice. We went to our seats and sat down.
Rex: Well, that was creepy.
Karylle: You aren't used to it yet? Like, it's been happening for the past 4 weeks
Phil: Rex...tends to be wimpy
Rex: ..
Phil: I recorded the time for the wave a while ago, I was one of the first ones to respond. It happened for 10 minutes. The first wave happened for what, 1 or 2 minutes maybe? The time for each wave increases and it also looks like the time in between increases too. Creepy.
Rex: Creepy.
Karylle: Well, at least they're making new weapons now, but I doubt that we'd use them anytime soon unless we literally GO OUT of the place.
Rex: Which is dumb, and suicide, yeah.
Phil: Our Alpha, Mark told us about the new weapons too
