I still remember the promise my boyfriend Edward told me
"I'd be with you for eternity (Y/N). I promise!"
I remember the bright smile on his face when he said it

Rumors started to spread and I heard he was in central

I decided to come down to surprise him

I was walking down the streets when I saw a frantic Al

"(Y/N) you need to get out of here now" Al says worriedly

I looked around but didn't see Ed

"Al where's Ed?" I asked concerned
"There's no time (Y/N)! Please let's go!" He begs

"I'm not going unless I know where he is Alphonse!" I yelled

He grabs me by the waist and picks me up

"LET GO ALPHONSE!" I yelled as I used alchemy on his suit

It shocked him a little but enough for me to get away from his grasp

"I'm sorry Al...but I'm not leaving with Ed. You can either help me or leave me" I say sternly

He took me to see Edward in a back ally

A stab wound in his stomach and he was bleeding out

"Ed...EDWARD!" I screamed as I ran towards him

"(Y/N)...what're you doing here..." he says weakly

"Shut up and save your strength! You'll get through this! Please don't leave me you promised you'd stay with me" I begged him crying

"Please don't cry. I'm sorry for not fulfilling that promise but I'll stay with you in heart..." he says with all his strength

"I love you...(Y/N)" He says as his eyes start to roll back

"No...no...WAKE UP EDWARD!" I screamed

"(Y/N)...I'm sorry..." Alphonse says

Tears couldn't stop coming down

"ALPHONSE WHY THE HELL DID YOU LEAVE HIM! IF YOU STAYED HE WOULD OF BEEN ALIVE" I screamed in anger

He looked startled but looked down

"(Y/N) I understand you're upset but please calm down" he says

"CALM DOWN ALPHONSE?! YOUR OWN BROTHER DIED IN FRONT OF YOU! HOW CAN YOU BE SO CALM?!" I screamed

The military rolled up and Mustang was the first to come out

"That's enough (Y/N)" Mustang says calmly

"Brother told me to leave. They knew about you and threatened to hurt you. Brother knew if one of us didn't leave you'd be hurt. So brother told me to leave to go protect you..." Al says looking down

I turned to look at Edward's corpse

"You said for eternity we'd be together. Do you want me to die? That's the only way we can be together now" I say looking down tears blurring my vision

Mustang comes over and puts his hand on my shoulder

"Fullmetal will be in your heart and your memory. He's a part of you so in a way he is with you for eternity. So be strong for him (Y/N)" Mustang says in a low voice

Edward was my first and last real love
I tried finding other people but nobody was anything compared to Edward.
