Edward and I were playing house with Alphonse and Winry.
Edward and I were the parents and Alphonse and Winry were the children.
Edward pulled me aside from the others and started blushing as he said
"When we grow up let's do this for real Y/n"
"What do you mean Eddy?" I say confused
"I mean let's be husband and wife and have children too!"
I started blushing a lot.
He then he pulled something out of his pocket.
A flower ring...?
"Here I made this ring this morning with alchemy!" He says excitedly as he grabbed my hand to put it in my finger.
I blushed even more and replied
"T-thank you Edward...I-I love it!"
"I promise I will love you in the future and nobody else! I will only want to marry you Y/n" Edward says smiling

Present time
(Everyone is like 18 except Al who's one year younger)
While Edward and Alphonse went traveling I somehow made an impression on Riza and Mustang. Mustang taught me alchemy with his gloves and even gave me a pair. Today was the day Edward was gonna come home. I live kinda close to the Rockbells, I can see their house from the window of mine.

I think I see Edward and Alphonse walking up to the Rockbell's house.
Winry opened the door and hugged Ed...?
I then proceed to see Ed getting on one knee with a ring?!
I ran out the house to the Rockbell's house
Maybe I'm imagining something

When I got there they told me the truth. How there were dating before Ed left for his travels and how he just proposed.
I forced a smile as I see them kiss. I felt sick my vision became blurry as I fainted.

I woke up in my own bed and I saw Alphonse.
"Did you bring me back?" I asked
He nods
"did anyone tell you to bring me back or did you do it on your own..?" I asked
I wanted to know if Ed told Alphonse to bring me back or not.
"I just did it on my own. I was the first to insist on bringing you back" Alphonse replied
I nod and say
"You can leave now I'm fine"
Alphonse looks at me concerned but then proceeds to leave.
I look at my desk and see that stupid flower ring.
"it was suppose to be me..." I murmured
I felt heartbroken I couldn't eat or sleep for days
Alphonse kept visiting me but of course Edward didn't care.
I decided to go away maybe to Riza and Mustang.
I packed my bags and took my gloves just in case. I look at the desk and saw the flower ring and I took it too. It was kind of dead so it kind of reminds me of the promise Edward made to me.
Kind of dead...
Tomorrow I leave and hopefully never return.

Edward's perspective
I was resting on the couch reading a book about Alchemy as Winry worked on her automail a couple rooms over.

Alphonse ran into the room disturbing me and was out of breath
He just went to bring Y/n some breakfast how can he be this tired...?

"Y/n! She's gone! Her stuff is mostly gone too!" Alphonse says in a panic

I looked at him shocked
She always got so mad at us if we left without a word, why would she do that to us now?

There's only one person she'd go to I feel like
Stupid Mustang.
I started running out the door to the train station. I was gonna go to central to find her.

Your perspective

I have arrived at central and checked into an inn. I then went to visit Mustang and Riza and we caught up. I don't know how long I play to stay here but it would be better to have friends here than be alone...
I told Riza where I was staying in case she wanted to visit and left.

I was back in my room at the inn.
I still don't want to eat...
I hope those 2 are happy I guess.
I hear the door break down and I quickly put on my gloves and turn around
Edward...
"How did you find where I was staying?!" I say shocked
"Riza told me..." Edward said
I looked away
It was dead silent until Edward said
"Why did you leave without saying goodbye...?"

I felt it all about to pour out. My emotions...

"Why I left...?" I said silently
"Was because of you" I say and look up at him in the eyes.
He looked shocked

"You love Winry, you proposed to her, that should have been me Edward..." I said angrily

"What are you talking about Y/n" he says confused and shocked

I pulled out the ring and showed it to him

"Do you remember what you said Edward? You said you promise you will love you in the future and nobody else! How you only want to marry me" I said tears running down from my eyes
I took the trash can and dropped the ring in it.
"Look that promise the ring is dead" I say as I snapped my fingers.
The ring inside the trashcan burned into ashes.
"Y/n..." Edward says
He takes a breath and states
"I don't really love Winry. The truth is Al has always been there for you when I wasn't and so I assumed you two loved each other. You were always the one I loved but what I did to Al, I caused him to lose his body and I can't be selfish and take away someone he loves. So I moved on with Winry..."

"Did Al ever say he loved me, no he didn't and you jumped to conclusions also you got Al his body back. He's your brother and my friend he would have understood how we both felt" I said tears rolling down my eyes

Edward hugged me and apologized over and over again

"Is that true Ed?" I heard someone say at the door
Ed and I let go and we looked
We saw Al and Winry

"I never loved Y/n brother because I knew you two liked each other." Al says

"Although I was suppose to marry you Ed and I want you and Y/n to be happy. So I approve of you two being together" Winry says smiling with tears in her eyes

Edward took off a ring from his finger.
"When I was traveling, I went to this blacksmith and asked him to make this for me. It reminded me of who I was fighting for and why I should come home." Edward says handing the ring to me

The ring had E+(first letter of your first name) inside of a heart engraved in it.

"Consider this your proposal ring if you'd like to have me Y/n" he says blushing

I looked at Winry and Al feeling bad for the two of them
They both give me a reassuring nod as I put the ring on my finger and nod

"Yes Edward I would love to marry you" as he kissed me on the lips.

The promise was fulfilled and the flower ring meant nothing compared to the actual engagement ring my Edward gave me
