Chapter 6: "Please!"

Toni's POV
"You and Cheryl? Since when?" Veronica asked.
"Since last week and I know it's soon to say I love you but I do. I love her with all my heart." I said. I was crying because every time I think of Cheryl I get butterflies in my stomach. She deserves better then me.
"We could still work out though, Toni what if told you I loved you...because I do." Veronica said moving to sit next to me. She placed her hand on my cheek and kissed me. This kiss wasn't gently it was rough and needy. I didn't stop the kiss. I kissed back. I liked Veronica but I love Cheryl but I still wasn't thinking. I was hurt because the serpents are most likely going to kick me out and I can't tell Cheryl how I'm feeling because I need to be there for her. Veronica and I were still making out when I heard a car pull up. I turned to see who it was and I saw a cherry red car. The same car I saw at the forest. It was Cheryl only she was driving away. She saw us.
"I'm sorry Veronica I gotta go like right now!" I said. I ran out the door and got on my motorcycle. I sped all the way to Thistlehouse. I just caught Cheryl before she entered the house.
"Cheryl!" I yelled and ran towards her. I stood between the door and her so she couldn't go inside.
"Cheryl please listen to me." I said. I tried to place my hand on her hip.
"Don't touch." She said. Her eyes were filled with tears. I hurt so much that I did that to her. I cause her to be in this much pain.
"Please Cheryl I'm begging you just listen to what I have to say. Please." I said grabbing her hands.
"Why so I could hear you say that you kissed Veronica, well I know that!" Cheryl yelled.
"Cheryl there's more to the story. Me and Veronica...um did it in the school bathroom during lunch..." I said. Cheryl just turned around looking away from me.
"Get out of here. Please I can't look at you." Cheryl said. I sat down on the steps.
"No. I can't leave you." I said.
"I'm leaving you. We're done. Now get out." Cheryl said. She was crying and she turned and walked around me. She slammed the door in my face. She can't leave me... not like how the serpents left me.

Cheryl POV
Toni texted me to meet her at Pop's because she had something to say. I got excited for some reason. I think just the thought of Toni makes my heart lust. I got in my car and drove to Pop's. I looked through the window and saw Toni's pink hair. But then I saw Veronica making out with her. Toni didn't push her away. I turned and got back in my car and drove away. She betrayed me like I meant nothing. I finally opened up to someone and they break my heart. I drove home fast hoping I got home before the tears started to fall.
"Cheryl!" I heard Toni yell. I didn't want to hear her voice or see her face. Toni continued to talk until I heard her say she and Veronica fucked in the bathroom at school. I couldn't hear anymore.
"I'm leaving you. We're done. Now get out." I said finally and went inside. Mother was somewhere in the house probably listening in but I didn't care. I ran to my room and cried. I just cried all night. I loved her, she was perfect but I guess I was wrong about that. I cried myself to sleep. When I woke up I got ready for school and when I walked out the door I saw Toni was still here. She was asleep on her motorcycle. She was beautiful but she wasn't mine anymore. I got in my car and drove off. I saw Toni wake up before I left. When I got to school I didn't dare to look beside me where Toni parked. I kept to myself today except when I saw Veronica.
