It was two sunrises since the battle with WindClan, and many cats were troubled with the mystery of Squirrelflight's death. Some thought Sol might have done it, but no one has seen, heard, or scented anything from him since Bloodpaw's death. Many ThunderClan cats still believed WindClan killed her. Briarlight suggested that maybe she ate deathberries, but no one was too certain that Squirrelflight did so.

Brokenpaw didn't know what to think anymore. She blinked her eyes open to vibrant morning light that wove its way through the bramble tendrils into the apprentices den. She yawned and stretched her legs until they trembled with effort. Exiting the den, she heard several murmurs of excitement traveling through the camp. Spotting Frigidpaw, she trotted toward her friend and nudged him kindly.

"What's with all the chatter?" Brokenpaw questioned curiously, eyeing the handsome tom closely. He purred affectionately, touching her nose with his own before replying.

"Cinderheart is expecting Lionblaze's kits!" He announced exhuberantly, his icy blue oculars shimmering most beautifully in the sunlight. His white stripes rippled along his dark gray pelt like fog on water.

Brokenpaw began to purr as well at the thought of adorable kits jumping around the nursery. "That's great!" She responded joyously, wrapping her fluffy black tail neatly around her legs. Frigidpaw nodded in agreement, his whiskers twitching.

"Maybe one day we'll have kits of our own!" The handsome apprentice jittered in excitement, but Brokenpaw froze. Kits!? What!? Does Frigidpaw really love me that much?! Brokenpaw was about to say something when a familiar yowl echoed across the busy clearing.

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey, join here beneath highledge for a clan meeting!" Bramblestar shouted from his perch at the peak of the rocks. The ThunderClan cats crowded together below their leader, eager to hear his announcement. His amber eyes gazed down upon his loyal clanmates as he puffed out his chest proudly.

"The naming of warriors is one of my favorite priorities of being clan leader." The tabby tom began, his deep voice traveling through the forest air. "So today I'd like to make two more valuable warriors for ThunderClan. Wolfpaw and Brokenpaw, please step forward." Brokenpaw jumped as her mentor called her's and her brother's names, and she hesitantly stepped forward till she sat at the base of highledge beside her littermate. She felt self-consious with every clan member looking at her. They probably only see my scars...

Bramblestar climbed down the fallen rocks cautiously and stood in front of the two apprentices. "I, Bramblestar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon these two apprentices. They have trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn." Brokenpaw's mentor gazed at her and her brother intently as he spoke on. "Brokenpaw, Wolfpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior the warrior code, even at the costs of your lives?"

"I do." Wolfpaw replied with a sudden confidence that seemed to roll off of his silhouette in enormous waves.

"I do." Brokenpaw echoed, standing tall and triumphant. She cast a glance at her brother, wondering why he was so different all of a sudden.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I hereby make you warriors. Wolfpaw, from now on you shall be known as Wolfstorm. StarClan honors your cunning skills and intelligence." The small black and white tom licked his leader's shoulder and stepped back, his icy blue eyes gleaming with intense happiness.

"Brokenpaw, from this day onward you shall be known as Brokengaze. StarClan honors your bravery and your fight." The black she-cat mimicked her brother's gesture and stepped back to his flank, her heart soaring. I'm finally a warrior! She didn't even care if her name made her scars stand out. She loved her warrior name. It was unique and like no other.
