New Beginnings

Results are in...

Logan's POV

It's been two days since Honor and I got tested and I'm still waiting for the call from the lab as I sit around trying to study for my ethics class while Ace, reads through her game theory notes that she managed to get from one of her class mates. As I reread the same passage for the tenth time I get up to grab a soda and a snack, just as I get up there is a knock on the door so I divert myself to answer it. I am surprised when I see my dad standing there with a manilla folder.

"Dad, what are you doing here? I wasn't expecting you" I say as I open the door allowing him entry.

"Well I thought this would be a conversation better held in person and I wanted to see how my daughter-in-law and the future heir to all that I have worked for is"

"We are doing fine thanks Mitchum, just getting some studying done until I can go back to classes, all the professors have given me a two week extension on everything but I would rather not get too far behind" Rory say's as she rearranges herself on the couch.

"Take a seat dad, did you want something to drink I was just about to get a soda"

"Coffee would be good"

"I will be right back" I say as I move towards the kitchen.

"Can you do me a half caf baby?"

"No problem Ace" I reply as I set both the coffee machines. A few minutes later I have everything on a tray and carry it out to the living room. I hand everyone their coffee's and take a seat back on my end of the couch.

"So what was so important you needed to see me in person?"

"The results came in and I am totally amazed at it"

"What were they?"

"Well neither of you are your mothers children"

"What how is that possible?"

"Well when I was in that hick town I found her in she wasn't the only one I slept with. I'm now guessing that her friend got pregnant but Shira saw it as her way out so she used it. I was never around so she managed to get away with it by paying the doctor's off. With you however I think it was my current secretary that was pregnant and she found out before I did. I am going to get the PI to track both women down so we can confirm all this but I have strong suspicions that this is what is going on. No matter what, you are both my children but neither of you are Shira's which would explain her disdain for anything she cannot get her hands on, which is the future of the company. She was trying to use you and Eliza to get everything she wanted. I haven't told Honor yet but I think we should do it together" He finishes and I can't believe my hunch was correct.

"Ok, we can head over there after we have finished here but what are you going to do about the two bit whore from hicksville?"

"Oh the lawyers are already working on the divorce papers as we speak and I know all about her affair with Wilson so I don't need anymore to get rid of her without giving her a damn dime" I quickly clean up the mugs and order some food for Ace before I head downstairs with dad and off to Honor's home.

"So how should we do this?" I ask him hoping he has an idea on how to break this news.

"Well I figure we should sit down and show her the results and then go through what I told you"

"Sounds like a plan but we all have to stick together on this"

"Of course, I can see what she did to this family now and I know why I was always out of the house because I just couldn't handle her. I haven't slept with her since you where conceived, we both had our affairs and sought that part of the relationship else where"

"Ok dad, that is just way too much information let's just get Honor up to speed then we can deal with the next step which will be the court case against Shira and Eliza seeing as Susanna turned states witness"

"She did what?"

"Yeah she is throwing Shira and her daughter under the bus as far as the detectives told us"

"Well I never saw that coming but at the same time it doesn't surprise me she has been unhappy for years. The one man she really loved never gave her the time of day and moved from one young bimbo to another"

"Wait no...are you telling me Susanna is in love with Andrew?"

"Yes, they were together right before he married Colin's mother, that was only a marriage of necessity because again he got her pregnant, he did love Susanna too but it never worked out for them and then Colin's mom died in child birth and by that time she was marrying Wilson as set up by her parents to help her move on. Ever since Andrew has kept trying to fill the void with a younger model but it never turns out right and he just divorces them too."

"Wow, I really had no idea what pushed those around us to what they do"

"Pay attention over the years son and you will learn a lot about those around you that you never would have dreamed of but as for Andrew every time we have a bachelor party her gets drunk and mopes about the one that got away Susanna Constatine" as he finishes his sentence we pull up to Honor's home.

"Now or never" I say with a chuckle and hop out followed by dad before we even reached the steps to the door it swung open and there she was looking down at us with a worried look.

"I was not expecting both of you I thought it was just dad" she says as she stands back from the door allowing us entry.

"This was a family situation that we needed to talk about together" dad answers as we move to the sitting room.

"So I'm guessing the whore isn't our mother?"

"You would be correct" dad replies and then rehashes everything he told me and Rory back at our place.

"Wow so that's it she is gone from our life and your going to find our real mothers?"

"Yes once we find them and confirm they are your mothers we will organise a sit down meal where you can both get to know them, it is not fair that you don't know who they are"

"Thanks dad" Honor and I both reply in unison. We all hug and dad and I get back into the car with the driver waiting.

"Paul, drop me of at home then take Logan back to Yale" he says and we both sit in silence thinking about all the changes that are soon to happen in our lives.

Did anyone see that coming? I thank Navywife06 for that idea. I hope to get more written soon and these stories finished I know I'm taking my time but I haven't had a lot of inspiration to write lately.
