School.

To most 17 year old girls, they'd dread school. But I, I honestly enjoy it. It's my only escape.

I just have to stay out of stupid drama.

I get ready. Not really caring about what I'm wearing, I throw on an oversized white jumper with black skinny jeans and my black and white vans. I just let my dark brown hair fall down the back of my jumper.

Toby used to say I didn't need all the makeup I wore so now I hardly wear any. Just mascara and concealer under my eyes because they're always so dark.

That was my day today. Art and photography are my favourites especially when I have a double.

I love the creativity of them.

Back home my dad's obviously not there. When is he ever. He works away a lot.

I'm not really complaining the house is a lot more peaceful and tidy when he's away.

Nice to know I've lost another parent who doesn't care for me.

I study for a while until I get a call from Ellie.

"Hey char, you want to get some food with me?"

"Sure, I'll meet you at the mall in 10"

"Okay yay! love you"

"Love you too"

I knew we didn't really have anything in so I'd go out to eat.

I arrive and see her car parked.

It's quite hard to miss a large white Range Rover.

I head inside, going to our usual place.

I see Ellie already sat down with our burritos, the same we always get.

I flash her a small smile as I walk to the table located in the corner.

"Hey!" She says always sounding so excited.

"hey" I feel my negative energy pouring out so keep quiet whilst sitting down.

"Here, you're usual ma lady" she says with a giggle.

"Thank you" I say with a smile at what she called me.

We eat for a while until Ellie starts talking again.

"So there's this party on Friday and since I already know you won't come with me, will you at least help me get ready" her eyes grew wide with hope.

"yeah sure" I say before taking another bite.

"You know Char, you should really come with me" she says looking at me dead in the eyes.

I almost choke on my mouthful.

"No there's absolutely no way!" I say giving her a stern look before taking a sip from my water to wash down the food I had stuck in my throat from her startling me.

"okay, okay. I just want you to have fun" she says with sadness in her eyes.

"Yeah let me have fun getting drunk and sleeping around with loads of boys" I say raising one eyebrow at her.

"I didn't mean do that! Just dance, meet new people" she says almost afraid of how I'll react.

"I don't want to El" I say looking down.

"That's fine, I don't want to force you" she tries to crack a smile to reassure me.

None of that interests me.

All the boys are dicks.

Everyone gets drunk

And you'll regret it all.
