17: The Shawn

Talon's POV:

The play is finally finished, I could finally take some rest, I was at the backstage sitting and watching the actresses congratulate each other with some compliment added.

"Hey, nice acting with that, Tristan.. I mean Talon." Penny elbowed me, still wearing the dress that I made for her.

"I was born being an actor, Sophie err.. I mean Penny." I winked, she look away and leave me alone, nice.

Kayla hugs Penn with a warm smile on her lips, well I guess it's time to go back to my room. I stand up and sigh heading back to my room with my costume that I'm still wearing. I open the door and lock it behind me, jump down to my bed.

Finally, me and myself are alone together. I remember that there is an upcoming test this monday, and it's friday today. Nah whatevs that was just a test. But what if Penny beats me, okay I'm studying. I groans while getting up from bed and headed to my bathroom to clean myself up for studying.

Studying, more like.. STUdentDYING. I wear my uniform because IT'S THE RULE, actually it is rule #34 at the university rules list "Always wear your uniform, be presentable". I stare at my reflection for the last time and leave the bathroom.

And saw Penny who just entered the room of 'Ours'. I sit down at the couch and grab my MADphone, just needing to amuse myself for a bit. She look at me and well I just stayed my eye glued down to the phone.

"Your pretty fast," she said

"Quizes on mondays, you coming for study?" I smiled, what a lame way to ask a girl to hang out.

"Oh totally, wait for me." She said, heading to the bathroom to change. I playfully rolled my eyes and look back to my phone.

We are now in the halls, walking, just the two of us, awkwardly. After that disgusting holo kissing.

"We're going to the library right? but first, let's go eat some snacks." She grab my hand and pull me as we go to the cafeteria.

It's Pizza Friday, perfect. I took not one but three pizza slices, and pretty hungry right now so yeah that's why. We eat the pizza and now we're going to the library.

We walk around the library, looking for the book that needs to study for the test on Monday. I'm holding a mountain of books right now, and its freaking heavy. I'm losing balance, I can't hold these book much longer

"Don't worry I got these!" A guy that heights just below my shoulder hold the book back to it's balance.

"Shawn!" Penny grinned

"Penn!" The little guy grinned wider, he embrace Penny with a hug, that's kinda sweet.. Or not.

I take a cough and look at me and they release their hug and smile at each other.

"Oh, Talon, meet my old friend, Shawn Jellypin. He's a smart one like me." She giggles

"And Shawn, this is Talon, uh my arch-nemesis.." she awkwardly smiles as Shawn offered his hand for a friendly hand shake. We handshake and he smiled.

"Nice to meet you, Penny's arch-nemesis" he remove his hand from mines.

"Uhh.. Penn if he is your enemy then why are you two both hanging out here in the library?" He asks

"Uh, truce?. It's a long story." She said as she place the book at the top of the books that I'm holding.

"Huh, weird. Do you... Like him?" He curiously ask. I accidentally choke myself with my own saliva almost losing balance of the books that I'm holding as the librarians shush us.

Penny shrugged  "No?.. Not at all?" She said nervously. Oh come on!

"Are you.. sure?" He said, oh man, I can't see their faces.

"Yes, I'm really sure!" She said quickly.. What if Penny likes Shawn.. My plan is gonna fail.

"Well then, you say so. So what's you two doing here?" He asks

"Uh, studying for the test this Monday?" Penny answered

"You're right, I forgot" he said

"Well that's all the books we need." Penny and we sit down and I place the books on the table.

"I'm gonna sit between you two would you mind" he said as he sit down and look at me

"I need to know about you, new guy." He glared at me and I glared back. It is on.

Penny's POV:

The boys are talking for like an hour now, good thing the librarians aren't here for now or else, we will get into detention. These two we're so LOUD. They both laughing at their own lame jokes specially on Talon's.

It looks like they became friends now, I sigh. That's a good one and a bad because I CAN'T STUDY. I sigh and place both of my hands on my ear and read the book.

"So, you have.. A girlfriend?" Shawn wiggled his eyebrows as he ask Talon

"Uh.. Actually no, it's a distraction." He said

"Have you been liked someone?" Shawn continues to ask

"Uhm.. Yes?" Talon nervously said

"Who's that girl?" He grinned

"I can't tell you, it's a secret anyway." Talon winks

"Wait, don't tell me it's--" Shawn cut off by Talon placing his index finger on Shawn's mouth shushing him.

"Don't spread the mayo on the bread Shawn, it may cause salty for me." Talon said very nervous, I wonder what Shawn means..

"Nah don't worry, your secret is safe with me." Shawn smiled, I mean they warmly smiled at each other which I found it was pretty gay, no offense.

The bell rings, it's 6 PM time for the dinner. We get up and headed to the cafeteria. As we walk, I observe the cafeteria, no Kayla, William or Pasha around. I wonder where they are. We sit down and still Talon and Shawn are still talking, I fake a cough to get attention between the two of them and they stopped and stare at me blankly.

"Are you guys gonna eat? Or just talk?" I said

"Uhh both?" Talon said

"Good, Imma go get some mine, if you don't want to eat leftovers you two should stop." I said as I stand up

"Yes, momma Penny" they both said, I roll my eyes and continue to walk as they follow me while talking.

The lady from the cafeteria gave me a steak and a salad, I took my tray and headed to our seats. I gotta tell you, making Shawn and Talon Meat and the biggest miSteak ever. Get it?, I should stop.

The two sit down and miraculously became quiet while eating their foods. How nice, that's more like it.

Time passed by it's 7:30 PM,  I saw Shawn pushing Talon to me, I stare at them with a confusion marked in my face.

"Just tell her already" Shawn said to Talon

"Uhm, what are you guys doing?" I said, confuse

"Uhm.. I just want to say to wake me up everyday because I don't want to get late in my classes that's all he he.." he rubs the back of his neck laughing nervously as Shawn slaps his forehead.

"Uh.. Sure, no problem? I guess?" I said.

"That plan really failed, man" Shawn said

"I know, I just need some time for it!" Talon replied

"Ehem, I'm still here." I said

"Oh right, Imma go now Lovebir-- I mean lover-- I mean.. Talon and Penny, see you tomorrow!" Shawn waves at us while entering his dorm and leave us two alone. I look at Talon.

"You guys are weird."
