Jaleny POV
My therapy has been going good. I think I am getting better but I don't know. Darien says I am and I trust his judgement. We haven't been the same lately. We are more distant from each other but honestly... I'm happy.
I'm happy because I am beginning to become my own person. Not just Darien's girlfriend or Ariela Lopez's daughter. I'm feeling more like Jaleny Wright.
When my mom went to the therapy session with me, she cried and apologized. I never wanted her to apologize or feel like as if she was doing something wrong. She is a great mother but I'm happy that she now knows that I was feeling some type of way.
School is finally out and it's summer vacation. Me and Darien planned on spending every other day together instead of every single day. I want me time and us time too. I want to make this summer a great one because once school starts, I'm gonna have less time with him.
"Jaleny, dad said we are going out. Just him and us kids." Jerome said, poking his head in to my room.
"Ok."
My mom is upset with my dad I know that. She tells me everything. She just hasn't told me details. I mean that's none of my business ☕️🐸.
I got off of my bed and changed in to a pair of dark jeans, a plain pink tank top, and put on my pink low 11's. I put my recently straightened hair in to a messy bun and then grabbed my phone and made my way upstairs.
"Dad where are we going?" I asked as we exited the house and walked towards his truck.
"I'm taking y'all to meet somebody that is going to be around more often." He said. Damn, momma is gonna gut him like a fish.
Marcus POV
I an taking the kids to meet Nicky and Manuel. I am nervous as fuck because who the hell wouldn't be. You out of nowhere tell your grown ass children and little daughter that they have a new brother that us actually old but new to everyone. Yah I'm nervous.
"Is this person a girl? Is this person one of your hoes? Should I be worried about your life? Should I be worried for about my life? Will there we food because a bitch is starving?" Jaleny kept asking questions and it was irritating as fuck.
"Just sit back, shut the fuck up, and calm the hell down." I said calmy. She smacked her lips and shut up. She get all that crap from her mother.
........
I pulled up to Nicky's house and parked in the driveway. It was a nice house, nothing like mine, but it was nice for a single mother.
"You took us to someone's house?" Jerome asked getting out the car.
No shit nigga. I helped Rochelle out the car and locked it up when everyone was out. We walked up to the front door and I rang the doorbell. Soon, Nicky opened the door.
"Oh good thing y'all made it! Come in!" She said opening the door wider. I walked in first and the kids followed.
"What is this place?" I heard Jaleny whisper. I turned around and gave her a look to let her know to be quiet.
"Where is little man?" I asked sitting on the couch. Rochelle ran in to my lap.
"He is in his play room. I will go get him."
Once she left the room, Jaleny started with the questions.
"Can't you just wait and see. Like damn." I mumbled. She is really giving me a fucking headache.
"Here he is. Say hi Manuel." Nicky said. I looked up and Manny was there looking shy.
"Daddy, that the boy from the mall." Rochelle said jumping off my lap. I stood up while nodding my head.
