Dominique Williams.
After checking in to see where Jasmins hospital room number was, we had to wait a few minutes then we could go in.
"I hope my niece is ok." My Dad whispered mostly to himself while walking into the elevator and clicking the number 3 for the third floor.
After everything between our families, I still hope she was okay and healthy. She's been through a lot already back in Chicago with her family, so this is just another setback. But, I know she's a strong girl and can fight through anything- she's in the Williams family for a reason.
As my Dad and I walked in, the doctor was talking to Jasmin and she turned around and smiled as she seen my Dad and I.
"I assume you two are the uncle and cousin?" The doctor smiled empathetically and I could already sense she was a down to earth doctor and really cared about her patients.
"Yes that would be us." My Dad gave her a weak smile.
"My name is Dr. Anna. You two can sit." She pointed at the two seats next to Dominic and I sat beside Dominic.
"Ok, since the gang is all here. I was telling Jasmin that she passed out due to being dehydrated." She explained to all of us then looked over to Jasmin, "Jasmin. I'm going to need you to drink lots of water and to eat more healthy. Also, your vitamin D level is pretty low, so I'm going to prescribe you some vitamin D pills as well."
"Ok. Thank you so much." Jasmin spoke.
"Of course, sweetie. You can change back into your clothes when you get a moment." Dr. Anna grabbed her clipboard and looked at all of us, "Have a nice day, everyone."
"You too." we all replied in unison.
"You need to start drinking water and leave the juice, pop, and junk food alone, Jasmin." My dad told Jasmin sternly.
"Okay, Uncle Kirk." she groaned.
"Ain't no "okay Uncle Kirk" this is serious business, Jasmin. I'm gonna have to tell Michelle this." My Dad shook his head while grabbing his phone, referring to her mother back in Chicago.
"Great." she mumbled.
"Well I'll be down in the lobby." I spoke up, breaking the awkward silence.
"You just read my mind." Dominic said and walked out with me, letting my Dad and cousin talk more privately with my auntie.
"Wassup, Dom." Dominic smiled down at me while we stood in the elevator.
"Hey, Dominic." I smiled.
"How was work?" He asked me while walking out the elevator and into the empty lobby and sat down.
"It was boring to be honest. I met your friend Brandon."
He instantly looked annoyed and shook his head, putting his elbows on his knees and looked over at me, "What that dude wanted from you?"
"Well he said that he knew you and how he always thought I was cute when he looked at your snap stories and he wanted to get to know me so I gave him my number and now i'm going to see him at the home game next Friday." I explained rather quickly. I instantly regret telling him all that, word vomit is the worst.
"Dominique. I know you've never been in a relationship, but you shouldn't be quick to-
"Excuse you?" I cut him off, knowing what he was about to say, "I don't need you telling me what to do and who not to give my number to, Dominic. And yes, I know i've never been in a relationship, so I don't need you to remind me. I already have a father, I don't need two." I snapped.
I hate how Dominic always tries to make it seem like he's my father, always telling me what to do and what not to do. Yes, I like to have a guys advice at times, but he can be overbearing and it annoys me. But, if I keep allowing it to happen he's just going to continue to do it.
"Yo chill out, Dom. I would never give him your number or your snap, because he's a player. He will dog you out and I'm trying to let you know before shit hit the fan with y'all, deadass. Don't be so naive." He advised.
I ignored him and crossed my arms, looking at the tv and noticed house hunters was playing and decided to watch it.
After about five minutes of waiting for Jasmin and my Dad, they finally walked over to us, annoyance written all over Jasmins face.
"Let's go." My Dad demanded and we all walked out the hospital, ready to sleep.
