[Ty's POV]

Maddie grabbed my wrist and we ran towards a window.

"What are you doing?" I stopped.

"It's the only way. If we used the front entrance, it would be a bloodbath." She said whole opening the window. "Come on." She put one leg out the window and dropped. I looked down and it was a two story drop. I sighed. What else would I do? I jumped.

[Mitch's POV]

"Wow." I muttered.

"Done being silent?" I nod. "Good. You're free to go."

"What?" I jump. Free to go?

"You can leave now. Your sentence ended today." My eyes filled with tears.

"I'm not sure if I want to leave." I mutter.

"Oh?" He seemed surprised.

"You remind me of... someone back home."

"Then why don't you go see them?" My eyes widened and I felt myself begin to cry again.

1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64...

"Thank you." I said, my tears having dried up. I ran out of the room, past his office, past my cell, past the kitchen, through the front gate, across the street, down the block.

"I'm coming, Jerome." I whispered. My eyes filled up with tears but, instead of filling my system with numbers, I let them flow. I ran and ran. Left. Down the street. Two intersections then right. Left. I ran into the country, past all the New Year festivities, into the back roads, through the snow, and to the house. I lifted up the mat and grabbed the key, put it into the lock, and burst inside, a smile on my face.

Emptiness. The fire wasn't lit, everything was dark, there was a blanket on the floor, the windows were closed, and it looked deserted.

"Adam? Ty?" I asked into the darkness. "Jerome?"

I began checking the rooms. I checked mine.

Nothing.

Maybe Jerome's room?

Nothing.

Would Ada-

"Shit." A girl was dead on the floor in front of Adam's door. Blood was smeared on the walls and I could make out part of a message. 'Jerome isn't real. He's-' the rest was too smudged. I looked away from the girl and shuffled into Adam's room.

"Adam! ADAM!!" I heard someone yell and bang on my door. Oh yeah, I locked it last night.

"Five more minutes." I muttered.

"WE DON'T HAVE FIVE MINUTES!" I listened closely and it was... Lisa? What happened? I heard gunshots and jolted upright.

What the hell is happening?! I sat on the floor in fetal position with my hands over my ears.

"Lisa?!" I heard laughter. Crazy laughter. Like... familiar crazy laughter. Then muttering and I saw blood stream under the door. I flung out of bed and stopped. Why can't I move?? I heard moaning and slumping. I couldn't move my feet.

"Lisa!!" I heard a strange noise and then a muttered 'Goodbye.' I found myself able to move again and flung the door open. I saw Lisa slumped by my door with blood on the walls. I looked and could make out letters smeared with the blood.

So the dead girl was 'Lisa'. But what the hell just happened?

"Mitch. Mitch?" Adam was shaking me. "Mitch!"

"Ahh... What?!" I jumped back to reality.

"Mitch your back!" Adam hugged me. He felt weak.

"You alright?" He nodded.

"I have to show you something." He takes me to Ty's room. As I walk in the door, I get another 'vision'.

I open the window and, as I'm about to walk out, see a glint of something to my left. I look and see it comes from a partially open drawer. It looks closed, but it's open enough I see something in it. I pull it open and see a key and a note.

'To whom it may concern,

I have a suspicious feeling about Lisa. I feel like I've known her before, but I don't know where from. If I disappear, I have a feeling Lisa may have done it.'

Well, that's not true. I saw Lisa, dead, outside my door.

'If I somehow disappear, I want whoever finds this note to pick up the rug underneath my bed and put the key in the lock.

Yours truly,

Ty Ellis'

"Let me guess, there's a trapdoor under Ty's bed?" Adam looks at me in shock.

"How did you know that?" I shrug.

((Whattttt!!))
