December 31st
Its been a month since we heard the news. I've been doing okay and so has Diego.
It was New Years eve so we decided to have a lil party Diego's parents were invited.
It was 8 PM and the party started at 9
They twins were asleep because it was an adults party only.

Lexie's PVO
I laid a tray down which had cheese and some crackers on it
Diego got the wine glasses and the wine bottles with some beer.
I sat on the couch watching TV.
"So" Diego says
"So" I say back

The doorbell rings
I get up and walk to the door
"Hey Lexie!" Candy says
"Hey" I say hugging her
We all were on the couch talking about the twins and stuff.

11:00
"Oh my god guys 1 more hour!!" I say excited
Diego looks at me with a smile
He took a sip out of his beer
"Hold on I'll be right back"
His dad follows him

Diego's PVO
I was down in the basement pacing around the room
"Imma do it, Imma do it" I say to myself
"Do what?" I turn around to see my dad looking at me "n-nothing" I say looking at him scared
"Diego.."
"F-fine I'm going to- the door is shut right?"
"Yea it's closed"
"Ok I'm going to propose to Lexie tonight" I say quietly
"Holy shit.."
"I know I'm freaking out"

Lexie's PVO
Me and candy were talking "where's Diego?" I say out loud
"I don't know I think he's downstairs" Candy says
"I'll go look"
I open the basement door
"Hey guys they party is upstairs" I say laughing
"We know" Diego says laughing coming upstairs holding a blunt.
"It's 11:50 guys!!" Candy says excitingly
Diego takes a deep breath
"Everything okay Diego?" I say
"Yea" he says taking one last hit of his blunt before putting it out.

"11:55!!!" I say jumping out of my seat

Diego's PVO
I put my hand in my hoodie pocket "Okay I got it" I say to myself
"11:59" Lexie says out loud

Everyone got up and hugged and kissed
I kissed Lexie and as she went to hug my parents I got on my knees and got the ring
"Oh my god"
Lexie looked at me and put her hands over her mouth
"Lexie, w-will y-you marry me?" I ask
She nods and starts crying I get up and put the ring on her finger.
