The hunter studied me for what seemed like hours. Then she stood upright and looked me right in the eyes from under her hood. I stood still like a statue fearing that any sudden movement would provoke her and I'd get pounced and killed. She sniffed at me and poked me for some strange reason. Then she backed off and tilted her head to the side a little.

"Uuhh... I don't know if you can understand me, but my name's Link. Do... You remember your name?" I said rubbing the back of my neck. A habit of mine when I'm nervous. The hunter smiled and nodded her head. She gestured to the journal on the table. That's when I remembered the name writren inside the front cover of the journal. "Your name's Miracle." I said earning another nod and smile from the hunter in front of me. I guessed she couldn't talk, probably because the infection mutated her vocal cords. Then a big question hit me. "Why haven't you killed me?" I asked. Miracle slid off her hood showing me her mismatched eyes. Her right eye was crimson red, while her left was a sparkiling silver. She used sign language, whish I happen to an expert at reading and doing it myself. She said she may be infected, but the infection surprisingly didn't take away her humanity like it's done to all the other people who're infected special or not. She also kept all of her memories of her life before and after the outbreak. I sighed out of relief, but also happiness. Miracle obviously trusted me even though she just met me and didn't know me very well. She then signed to me again saying that she could take me to a safe zone and that maybe I might find a way home to my own world. Wow she's smarter than I thought. She's already figured out I'm from another world and that there's possibly a way for me to get home. Then again it's pretty obvious that I'm not from this world, since I'm and elf with pointy ears. I agreed to let her guide me to a safe zone. I have a better chance at making it to one with someone beside me than on my own. Since it was morning we headed out. Along the way Miracle taught me how to use different guns. She of course had to sign all of her words, but I understood. She told me that melee weapons like my sword are useful, but aren't always enough to defend myself with. She informed me that guns can help prevent close encounters with infected common and special alike. Learning how to use, clean, reload, and shoot was hard, but I managed. Getting use to the recoil of firing a gun was a challenge and I often had to rely on Miracle to get me out of trouble. Eventually I got used to the recoil and became really good at finding ammo for my guns. Throwable items were also pretty useful. Explosives of all kinds were useful and I was always grateful when I found them. I learned to always carry a medkit with me while traveling. Both Miracle and I would get hurt one way or another and having a medkit around was pretty handy. I had asked how long it would take to get to the safe zone. Miracle said it would take a while, possibly a couple of weeks or so. I sighed. I should've guessed it was gonna take a while. It's hard enough traveling with a bunch of zombies being pretty much everywhere. I just hope nothing is gonna go seriously wrong.
