Two weeks

All six of them tried coming up with an alternative, but unfortunately no luck.

"Fuck it" Yuichiro said turning the opposite direction. "I'm going to have a few words with my father"

"Be carful, Yuu-kun!" Yoichi shouted.

"So uhh..." Mikaela said scratching his other arm.

"..Now we wait. Shinoa replied. "He'll either come back with great news, or we'll hear a bunch of screaming while Guren tries to kill him"

"Comforting" Mitsuba joked.

"Come on, Guren! Let me have more time!" Yuichiro pouted.

"And just why should I do that?" Guren crossed his arms as he faced the boy.

"Because it's impossible for me to find a bride in one night!"

"You do realize 'more time' would mean another ball, right?"

"The thought never crossed my mind actually" Yuichiro said.

"Unbelievable. We aren't throwing another ball and that's that" Guren deadpanned.

"I promise I'll be on my best behavior! Oh please Guren" Yuichiro stuck out his lower lip and began whimpering like a dog.

"That's not going to work"

"I'll just keep doing it" Yuichiro admitted.

"What are you five? No means no"

"What if I make a few friends and then decide from them when I'm ready?" Yuichiro said proudly of his idea.

"Hmm...I'd say yes but there's no way in hell you'd actually live up to your word"

"Yes I will! Look I'll become friends with the prettiest, funniest, and smartest girls! I'll definitely be able to pick from them if I get to know them first" Yuichiro stated.

"...."

"Well?" Yuichiro asked waiting for a response.

"....fine" Guren said admitting defeat.

"OH YAY!!" Yuichiro jumped up and down like a school girl.

"But! Only if you keep your word, you have a week"

"A week!? Still so little time?" Yuichiro frowned.

"Hey a week is still much longer than a night, I'll make it two weeks but complain anymore and I'll change my mind" Guren saw the shimmer in the younger boy's eyes.

"Hell yes! Thanks Guren!" Yuichiro said running off.

"Damn that kid is gonna lead me to my grave"

"Guys!" Yuichiro ran over to his friends.

"Yuu-san!" Shinoa stood up waiting to hear the news.

"You look happy, did something good happen?" Yoichi asked curiously.

"He gave me more time to decide! Two whole new weeks!"

"That's awesome!" Shinoa lit up.

"Just don't screw this up" Kimizuki deadpanned.

"I won't, trust me" Yuichiro said not very confidently.

"Well at least you have more time" Mitsuba added.

"Exactly!" Yuichiro smiled.

"I'm glad too, the night was almost over, talk about super stressful!" Shinoa laughed wiping away fake sweat.
