3RD PERSON

"Finally, God," Nate rolls his eyes as he heard Cooper sigh.

He enters the house and hears Cooper close the door behind him.

"Let's go. The guys were ready to come pick you up themselves if you took longer." Cooper says, starting to walk towards the basement.

Nate sighs, following closely behind Cooper.

Once they reach the basement, Nate could see TJ sitting up on the floor, his back being supported by the couch, scrolling through his phone, as Simon was laying down, throwing a ball in the air.

TJ looks over a smiles. "Took you forever, damn boy."

Nate shakes his head, smiling. "I kept hitting every single red light.

Cooper turns his console on, preparing the games the four of them were going to play over the next couple hours.

"Get ready boys, tonight's gonna get competitive."

_

Cooper groans as he sets his controller down, groaning at the fact that Nate has now beaten him three times in the game they were just playing.

"I told you you can't beat a master." Nate smirks, setting his controller down as well.

TJ scoffs, throwing a chip at him. "Shut up."

Naw flips him off, not bothering to turn around and look at him.

"One more time?" Cooper asks, looking at Nate. He laughs, shaking his head. "Fine, but if you lose, not my fault."

Cooper looks behind him to Simon and TJ, where they look back at him.

He nods his head and gives them a small smirk before turning back to Nate.

"I'll tell you what. If I win, I get to ask you whatever I want. If you win, you get to ask me whatever you want." Cooper negotiates , and Nate turns to look at him again.

"Anything?" He asks, giving a small smirk. "Anything."

And this is exactly how Cooper won the fourth round, jumping up from his seat, cheering.

"Damn, I could have had that." Nate says, setting his controller down. "Here goes nothing"

He looks at Cooper for a couple seconds before telling him to settle down.

Cooper sits down, setting his controller down and turning to Nate. "You can ask whatever you would like." Nate confirms.

"Are you ever planning on asking Bronwyn out?" Cooper asks as he looks back at the boys, who are both smirking back at him.

He hears Nate groan, causing Cooper to look back at him. "Really guys? Fine,"

Nate looks at Cooper and sighs. "Yes, I was planning on asking Bronwyn out. But every time I tell myself I can do it, that little voice in my head tells me I could ruin everything, so I don't," He begins.

"I don't want to lose the friendship that Bronwyn and I made many years ago just because she didn't feel the same way I did."

Cooper looks at him, nodding his head. "It's fine, Nate. I'm sure she wouldn't say no."

Nate gives a fake laugh, looking at the TV screen. "Sure you do."

Simon clears his throat and enters the conversation himself. "If you don't ask, you could never know. I'm sure nothing could come between your guys' friendship, relationship, whatever you want to call it."

TJ and Cooper both nod their heads in agreement.

Nate shrugs. "I guess you guys are right."

Cooper snorts, picking up his controller again. "You guess? We are right, Nate. Now pick up your controller and let's do this again."
