Chapter 23

|| Rylee's POV ||

As Connor and I called everyone out into the hallway, every single one of them acted as confused.

To be honest, I was too.

"Guys, Sabrina doesn't remember anything." I said.

I heard several different gasps and a serious of 'Whats?' but that was it.

"Wait, let me rephrase that, Sabrina doesn't remember coming to California. She only remembers up to about a week before we left the trip." I said

"So that means she doesn't know that she is here and she doesn't know who we are." Connor added.

"Wait, I don't get it though, she was doing fine!" Calyssa said.

"We know, it is really confusing for us as well, but her doctor said that this is common."

"A week before? So that means she doesn't remember me eating her lunch the other day? Oh thank God, she was really pissed about that." Hunter joked

Everyone just gave her disapproving looks.

"What? I'm just trying to lighten the mood....sorry." She shrugged.

"Anyways, we just have to do our best to work on this together. We don't want to just throw everything on top of her." Connor said.

"Well, what does she know?" Wendy asked.

"She knows that she got hit by a car but that's it." I said.

"Oh no, what is Sam going to say?" Kian asked.

We have all suspected that Sam had something for Sabrina, but he wouldn't come out and tell us.

"Hey, uh, Ry? Can I talk to you and the girls over there?" Samy asked pointing down the hall way.

I nodded my head while we all followed her.

"So she only remembers a week before? What is going to happen when she wakes up to find Our Second Life sitting in the hospital with her?" Samy asked.

"Oh shit, we have to tell them!" Hunter whispered.

"Don't you dare! If we told them now they would hate us for keeping this secret, plus they would probably kick us out." Calyssa whispered.

"That's the thing, when she woke up, Connor was in the room with her and she didn't seem to recognize him. Also, when I mentioned Sam's name, she didn't react at all." I said

"She doesn't know who they are at all?" Wendy asked.

"I guess not." I said shrugging my shoulders.

I turned around to look at the guys to see that Jc was turned around and was looking at me. He gave this awkward wave, which I was happy to return.

I was about to turn back around when I saw him mouth the words 'are you okay?'

I just nodded and took out my phone, shaking it slightly, as if saying 'I'll text you'.

 I turned my phone on silent as I opened it and went to my messages.

I clicked on the name that was just simply, a cloud emoji.

'I will be' I typed and pressed the send button.

'Good. Just making sure'

'Are you okay?'

'Ya, I guess, I'm just glad she isn't too badly hurt. I'm not very good with the whole death concept.'

'Oh ya me too. I promise we will be able to figure this out.'

'You really are confident about that, aren't you?'

'haha ya'

'I like that'

I feel my cheeks blush as I lock my phone and put it back in my pocket.

"What are you smiling at?" Calyssa asked me.

"Oh, it's nothing." I said looking down at the ground as we walked back to the group.
