A/N

I hope this makes up for the shorter chapters.

First thing we went to a huge hall, where there was an extremely boring assembly about our powers.

Katerina fell asleep halfway through and when I kicked her awake she told me a joke which literally had me rolling on the floor laughing! Seriously, I'm not kidding, all the teaches just looked at me as if I was some sort of deranged kid. I got her back near the end though, I made her laugh so hard she started snorting and she couldn't stop! Again the teachers looked, probably assuming that her power was to transform into a pig or something though, they quickly looked away.

During break, Katerina and I met up with Ororo who had been put in a separate class. She was in the same class as Jean, but Jean had to go to the hall to make as speech to the parents who came.

"So, how was your introduction to powers?"Ororo asked.

"Um, well I kinda fell asleep and then started snorting..." Katerina began.

"And I started rolling all I over the floor halfway through, so yeah, it was great!" I continued.

After explaining what had happened to Ororo, we all headed to the area of grass outside the hall.

Ororo told us the Jean kept nudging her awake every time she started to doze off and she refused to talk while the assembly was taking place, so we decided to get her to loosen up a little.

We stood outside the glass hall and held up two posters. One had the joke I had told Katerina and the other had the one she had told me.

We watched as Jean's smile turned into a confused frown and then when she finished reading the first she put one hand on her stomach, the other in a fist I over her mouth. Then she burst out laughing, bending over and full out laughing. When she finished reading the other poster, she stood completely still for a moment and then almost fell backwards off the stage. We were going to do more, but we thought we'd better stop in case she actually did fall of, or in case we made her mess up her speech and ruin the parents' assembly.

Next thing was the lesson were we tested our powers, or for some mutants, discover them.

It was amazing! First up was this guy called Sam who could teleport. Then there was a girl who could control water, another who could switch bodies with others and another guy who could make things appear out of thin air!

Sam demonstrated his power by getting into a locked see-through box and teleporting in and out of it. Macy demonstrated her power by making two bucketfuls of water spell out her name in the air, Lucy kept switching bodies with the teacher, Katerina ran to get things from the teachers lounge on the top floor to prove she was actually moving, she also kept going invisible then running through a path of obstacles so we could see she was there when she knocked them over and Chris was doing things like making a gaming chair appear, then falling into it, making a flat screen TV appear with a controler, things like that.

When it came to me, I felt so embarrassed as I thought mine wasn't as good. I already had materialised my black vest top before I came in, with a big blanket covering my shoulders so no one would see my wings yet. I pulled the blanket of and flew into the air, twisting upwards. Then I heard a chorus of applause and six rings of water appeared around me, along with a start and finish line(made by Macy and Chris).

I twirled through the hoops of water and zoomed back towards the ground and straight into a roar of laughter and a joint few cheers.

I went off to free period feeling very happy with myself.

Jean wasn't doing anything in our free period, so all four of us made a plan to play a joke on someone. It featured the professor, Sam and a wheelchair.

We gathered together in the hallway and got Sam to agree to the plan. Then we put it into action.

Ororo calmed down the storm outside so I could fly outside and ascend the sky to the small window in the professor's office. There I waited until Jean had called the professor outside to have a private conversation. He trusted her the most.

When Jean had opened the window with her mind and the professor had followed her out of the study, I wriggled through the gap and slipped inside.

There, I heard a lock click as I grabbed hold of the wheelchair and flew back outside with it. Sam would have done it, but it can't teleport inside the professor's office.

I lowered myself to the ground and called Katerina over, who had just come outside. She sat inside the wheelchair and then turned herself invisible. Sam teleported us inside and then both of us pretended to chase it down the hall.

"HELP! IT'S THE RUNAWAY WHEELCHAIR! STOP IT!" We shouted along the corridor.

Soon there was a whole crowd of people chasing the wheelchair, at least 20 of us were running after it!

CRASH! The wheelchair crashed into Hank and all the kids skidded to a halt. I attached myself to Sam's arm and he fumbled around for Katerina's shoulder, then we had teleported back to our chosen dorm.

"Thanks Sam," I said.

"My pleasure!" He assured us, bowing down.

"So where are you staying?" I asked him.

"Across the hall, why are you so interested?" He replied.

I shrugged my shoulders and he winked at me before he disappeared. Less than a second later, a chorus of cheers echoed down the hallway and we knew he was back in his dorm.

Ororo and Jean were already asleep, so Katerina and I talked for a few hours, before we layed down and from the moment our heads hit the pillows, we were out for the count.

Well, you know, until the next morning...
