Darkened Royalty (Klance Voltron Fan Fic)

10 Years Later

Keith's Pov:

I'm scared right now because it's mine and Lances wedding day. We've done a lot of preparing, but I'm still nervous. It's been 2 years since we made peace with the Galra, and we're as happy as we've ever been. We're on earth now, and I'm looking at myself in the mirror. My outfit for this is a sparkling red dress. It has a matching red pearl necklace and red heals. Lances Mom did my makeup, seeing that she is a certified makeup artist. Lance isn't supposed to see me until this 30 minute timer is up. He's in his dressing room now getting ready, probably looking just as stunning as me. He's so confident, which explains his personality. I love him to death and can't wait for him to see me.

Lances Pov:

I'm kinda freaking out right now. I'm already in my place for the wedding standing beside the clergy. I hear the music start to play and I can feel my heart start to race. My heart stops and my eyes shoot to the double doors at the end of the isle. The doors open and I see Keith walk in, arm-in-arm with his mom. Keith looks up at me and we lock eyes. I'm so shocked and at a loss for words because he looks STUNNING. His outfit is shimmering in the bright lights of the church we're in and he just looks amazing. He blushes upon me staring in awe at him. He gets up to where I am and the clergy says, "Do you give your child up to Lances?" Keith's mom nods her head, a tear running down her face and s smile on her face. "Yes I do," she says and puts Keith's hands in mine. Keith's mom walks away to go sit down and me and Keith face each other. Keith smirks up at me and I brightly smile down at him as the clergy reads off what he's supposed to. And now it comes time for vows. Keith goes first.

Keith's Pov:

My hands start to sweat and shake, seeing that I'm the first one to go. I pull out the wrinkled up paper out of my leggings pocket and unwrapped it. "So, there is a lot of stuff I have to say, but I'm gonna keep it short. I love you Lances, a lot. I've known I liked you since the first day I met you, when we where teens at the space program. I feel for you the first time you spoke to me. I started to love you when we join Voltron and you would do little things like be nice to me, out everyone else before yourself, and put in so much work to ending the Galras rein. All in all, I'm glad I get to marry the best man in this damn universe." I stop and finish, looking up at Lance. He has tears in his eyes and I start to tear up too. I really freaking love him, way more than he could ever imagine.

Lances Pov:

Oh crap, it's my turn. I watch Keith put the paper back in his pocket and I pull out mine. It's non-wrinkled and I see Keith blush. I start, "Keith, I have so much to say and this is probably not gonna be a good wedding vow, but this was never my area of expertise. Words can't describe how much I love you. You are the one who made me realize I shouldn't care what other people think. You are the one who pushed me harder than anyone has pushed me before to be a good man. You are the one who let me love you, and that is a great thing because you are on hell of a fine specimen." I look down at him and wink, making him blush. I hear a whistle from Pidge standing a couple feet away from me, seeing that she's the ring giver. The clergy announces that we finish our vows and then says, "may I have the rings please." Pidge walks forward with the pillow and rings on top. When the clergy takes them away she turns around a squeals, fangirling hard over us. I chuckle and the clergy hands me and Keith the rings. We slip them onto each other's finger and intertwine our hands. "Do you, Lance, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband." I say a quick, "I do," then he asks," Do you, Keith, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Keith shyly says an, "I do," and the clergy says, "by the power vested in me by the state of California, I now pronounce you Husband and Husband. You may now kiss the groom." I lean in and so does Keith. Our lips meet in the middle and I can feel the warmth of Keith's lips against mine. I smile into the kiss, the world around me slowing down and it feels like it's only me and Keith. I love this man and will do whatever it takes to keep him safe. I'm proud to call Keith mine.
