Sick {Version 2 (Request)}

also guys y'all might have gotten a shit ton of notifs earlier today it's cuz i took the book down for a little bit to do some quick editing so sorry bout that and enjoy this chapter!

Jin was undoubtedly the parental figure of the group. He was always looking out for every member, taking care of each one, and preparing food when necessary. But there was one day when Jin woke up sick. He had been coughing and sneezing a bit in the days before, but he was way too weak to even get out of bed this particular morning.

The eldest member had lost his voice, had a sore throat, was coughing and sneezing, and his nose just wouldn't stop running. He tried to sit up but fell back after getting about halfway upright.

Jae, on the other hand, had woken up a bit early for once and was prancing around the kitchen trying to find pancake ingredients. She was about to call for Jin when she couldn't find the baking powder.

"Jin oppa!" she called twice, before realizing the man wasn't around. Curious as to why Jin hadn't woken up yet, she started to look for him. She made her way to his room and knocked on the door, waiting for a reply. Jin heard the knock but couldn't reply. Jae decided to just walk in, assuming he was still sleeping. What she didn't expect to see was Jin wide awake and looking extremely pale and sickly.

"Oppa, are you ok?" she asked and then facepalmed at her own stupidity. "Aish, what am I saying? You're obviously not ok." she hurried over to Jin's side and helped him sit up, his back to the headboard of his bed.

"Jae-ah." he said weakly. His voice was so soft and Jae had to lean closer to even hear what he was saying.

"Shhh, don't strain yourself. I was just making pancakes but I think I'll go make some porridge instead. Do you need anything?" she asked.

"Tissues. And my phone." he replied. Jae left the room and grabbed the box of tissues that was in the living room and then unplugged Jin's phone from its charging position on his desk, bringing both to him.

"Just call me if you need anything else. I know you can't talk too well so I'll have my phone right next to me. I'm going to make some porridge and I'll send Yoongi and Taehyung out to get medicine. Rest, ok?" He nodded and she left to go to the other boys' bedrooms.

"Yoongi oppa." she said, walking into his room where he was already awake.

"What's up Jae?" he asked.

"Jin's sick. Can you and Taehyung go get some medicine while I make porridge for him?"

"What? Why me? I just wanna stay here."

"No, go get medicine. You know Jin always takes care of us. We need to take care of him too. Now go get medicine with Tae."

"Fine." Yoongi walked off to find Taehyung and leave to get medicine.

Jae was in the kitchen, focused on making porridge when Jungkook, Jimin, Namjoon, and Hoseok all came in.

"Jae, what are you making? It smells so good." Jimin asked.

"Jin's sick so I'm making porridge."

"He's sick?" Namjoon asked.

"Yep. Can someone go check on him? He can't even talk, his throat is that sore."

"I'll go." Namjoon and Hoseok said at the same time. The two boys left to head to Jin's room and Jimin and Jungkook came around to help Jae with the cooking.

"I don't need any help but you might wanna make some breakfast. I was about to make pancakes for everyone but then I found Jin sick." she said as they started to shuffle around the kitchen, looking for ways to help. The two got started on breakfast just as Taehyung and Yoongi came back from the pharmacy.

"We're back!" Taehyung announced.

"Oh good. The porridge is almost done."

"We brought the cough syrup and two other things that the lady told us are good." Yoongi said.

"Ok, I'll check both." Jae gave the food a final stir before filling a bowl with the steaming food. She grabbed the bag of medicine and a glass of water and headed towards Jin's room. She found Hoseok and Namjoon just leaving the room.

"He's just on his phone right now. I think he's bored out of his mind." Hoseok chuckled. Jae nodded and walked into Jin's room.

"I brought food and medicine." she said. He watched her put everything on his bedside table and bring a chair over so that she could feed him. He ate quickly and was soon moving on to taking the medicine.

"Ok, now go ahead and rest for awhile. You need to sleep so that your body can fight off the sickness." Jae left the room when her phone pinged, signalling a message.

Jae smiled and put her phone back in her pocket. The boys eventually nursed Jin back to health in 3 days and Jin was thankful for having such wonderful and caring members.
