Author's Note:

u would think that being a writer would help me write stuff for school but i'm struggling with my assignment so i decided to just give up and write a chapter and then go back to the assignment...oops? oh well at least i'm getting a chapter out right?

i've had this idea all day anyway cuz i was doing a school project at a friend's house and my group needed to take polaroids for the decorations. we ended up taking so many rly cute pictures and we each get to keep a few after our presentation is over. but i was thinking about how jimin and jin are also avid polaroid enthusiasts and how cute it'd be to write a chapter so bam this chapter was born. i'm also actually a photographer myself so this chapter kinda correlates with one of my hobbies!

this chapter is more jimin focused but there's a little bit of jaemin for all u jaemin shippers!

Jimin walked around, enjoying the scenery of the greenery that the group was doing a photoshoot in. He reached out to touch the light green ferns growing along the path he walked on, fingers brushing through each leaf and a smile on his face. He watched as some of the members took unit shots and solo shots, patiently waiting to be called for his pictures.

He watched Jae and Jungkook play around with some water, having just finished their unit shots. Jimin got up from his place on the grass, running to his bag and unzipping it to grab the camera that lay in it. He ran back outside to the large clearing and smiled as he watched the two youngest run around.

He held the camera up to his face, looking through the viewfinder and waiting for the perfect moment. Jungkook caught up to Jae, grabbing her and picking her up bridal style. Jae squealed in surprise and Jungkook smiled at her startled form. The shutter sounded as Jimin captured the moment on his camera. He watched as the polaroid was printed and he quickly set it down on a nearby table, waiting for it to develop.

As he looked around, he saw Namjoon and Hoseok asleep against each other and decided to capture the moment. The flash went off and another polaroid was set on the table next to the previous one.

He went back outside, in search of more moments to capture. He felt someone grab his hand. He looked up to see Jae giggling as she turned and started to walk forward, leading him somewhere. He smiled again at the maknae's silliness and took a picture of her hand locked with his, her long wavy brown hair and white dress also in the frame.

"Look Chim! Look at the butterflies!" he heard her yell in delight as she stared at the flying creatures. He watched as she reached a hand out and a butterfly delicately landed on it. She smiled wider and he quickly took a picture, triggering the flash and scaring the butterfly away.

"Jimin! You scared it away!" she pouted at him as he chuckled.

"Sorry JaeJae! I got a cute picture though!"

Jimin continued to capture little moments throughout the day, even getting one of the staff members to document the whole group playing with balloons like a group of children. He collected his polaroids, slipping them into a pocket of his bag and getting into the car that would take them back home.

Later that night...

Jimin reached under his bed, grabbing one of the thick albums that lie there. He ran his hand over the deep red cover, tracing the gold lining of the book. He flipped the cover open and skimmed through the pages until he reached one with empty slots. He started to write the date on the bottom of the pictures he had taken earlier and place the polaroids in the empty covers one by one. He smiled as he slid the last picture into its position.

He didn't hear the door open and close but he felt a body against his back and watched as a pair of arms came to circle around his torso and hug him. He smiled, knowing exactly who it was.

"Hi Jiminie. Whatcha doing?" came the voice of the only girl in the group.

"Filling up the album Jae. I'm excited to start another one," he said. Jae gasped excitedly.

"Can I see today's pictures?" she asked and Jimin nodded. He patted his lap and Jae settled in to his warmth. He flipped the book open again and the two looked at the pictures, reminiscing the day's events.

"Woah! You did get the butterfly in this picture!" she said.

"Told ya I did," he replied.

"Can we look through the other pictures too? From other days?" she asked, looking at him innocently.

"Of course we can," he said, flipping to the front of the album to satisfy her request. The two ended up spending the next few hours wrapped up in each other and looking through the many polaroids that Jimin had taken in the last few months, pictures that served as wonderful reminders of some great memories.
