Kirstie woke up feeling squished and crammed in her bunk, confused as to why, until she remembered that she asked Avi to join her a few hours before. It was probably around three, and they'd have to wake up in two hours anyway, but she nudged him in the bunk below her, asking him to sleep with her because she was lonely. He was about to say no until he looked up to see her pout and so he gave in.
She somehow got her phone out of her sweatpants pocket to see that it was 5:25 AM and Esther would be coming to wake them up any moment now. She yawned loudly, and tried to maneuver herself out of the bunk when she suddenly felt Avi's grip tighten, and soon found his lips on hers. She blushed when she felt him smile into the kiss.
Kirstie pulled away as best as she could without banging her head on the ceiling above her. She instead laid her head on his chest. She felt his breathing and focused on making hers match his.
He's asleep, she thought, smiling to herself as she looked up to him, her face so close to his that she could feel her eyelashes brush up against his cheek. His mouth was slightly open and she chuckled at the very soft, almost inaudible snores that he let out. He had literally been asleep for less than a minute and he was already knocked out.
Kirstie pulled back her curtain just as Esther was about to open it. She put a finger to her mouth, to stop Esther from saying anything. Esther shook her head, smiling. She loved Kirstie and Avi both, and loved them even more together. She moved on to wake up the others, knowing that Kirstie would get her brother to wake up one way or another.
Avi woke up when he felt Kirstie wiggle herself out from the bunk. He wasn't as warm and there was a noticeable weight difference. He yawned loudly, making Kirstie giggle.
"Come on and get ready. We're stopping at an IHOP for breakfast." she whispered, knowing that Mitch was still asleep and that he needed to wake up on his own or he'd be cranky for the rest of the day.
Avi nodded and hopped down, kissing her once again once he was on the tour bus floor. She leaned into him, putting her arms around his neck. They were getting into it until Mitch, who was under Kirstie, pulled back his curtain and groaned. They pulled away quickly, and even though it was dark, Mitch knew they were blushing.
"Ugh, freaking lovebirds..." he teased them, and although everyone did, they were never quite used to it. Kirstie shook her head and gave Avi one last peck before heading to the bathroom to get ready. Avi stood there, smiling to himself, gazing at the beauty he was able to call his girlfriend.
"Avi close your mouth, you'll catch flies." Mitch continued to joke, earning him a pillow to his face.
