Jades POV
Three weeks. Three weeks we have been in New York and here I am sitting at the table looking through the paper and just to fin a job. Why is getting a job such a difficult task.
I have money to take care of us, but I don't want to use that because I want to have the experience of waking up and going to work every morning.
Perrie wanted to get a job but I would rather have her stay in school and then get the job in her work range.
I sigh and throw the news paper on the counter and the pen at the wall. These jobs are all no good.
Jonas offered me a job at the bakery but I don't want him to pay me. Were friends and I would rather do that out of friendship than having him pay me. Maybe I'm dumb for doing that but I don't care.
I at least wanna have a job before everyone comes to visit because then I could pay for is to go do things. I think it's just the fact that I want to make my own money by actually doing something.
I get up off the stool and I got to the fridge and take out a wine cooler. I pop the cap and take a few sips trying to relax a bit.
I look up at the clock and it's only twelve. Perrie wouldn't even be home at least till five and that's a long time. Maybe if I had a damn job to do it would be easier for me to get through the day.
I could start writing my book, but I don't have everything I need yet. I have to talk to some type of publisher or something and get an agent and all that is way to much.
I put the wine cooler down and I got to the bed room. I need to get out for just a bit and clear my mind. I grab my parka from out of the closet and I slip on my shoes. I grab my keys and I walk out the door and lock it as well.
As I'm walking I walk past my two neighbors that a met not too long ago and I smile am stop to talk to them.
I think they are a lovely couple. Kai and Angie where their names and they are just the friendliest people I have ever met. Angie is pregnant at the moment and everyone I see her she's getting bigger, well already at nine moths you would wonder when she's going to pop but I'm guessing the babies being a stubborn lad.
"How are you Jade" Angie ask putting her hand on my shoulder.
"I'm good you know just trying to find a job it's almost impossible" I chuckle a bit.
"Well don't be down I guaranteed you'll find one soon" Kai says and I smile.
"Thanks guys" I say "almost time huh Angie?" I ask. I was pretty excited for the baby as well, I mean c'mon who doesn't live babies?
"Yeah I can't wait she was due a few weeks ago but I guess she just doesn't wanna leave yet" she says and we all laugh.
"Well I'm going to go for a walk, maybe I'll get something for the baby"
"Oh Jade you don't have to" Kai says as Angie nods her head agreeing.
"No no I want to it's the least I can do" I smile. They say thank you and I head to the elevator.
Once I'm out, I walk out of the building and the fresh air hits me and I tKe a deep breath. I feel relaxed already and all my problems and worries are behind me.
I walk past Jonas's bakery and I can see him skating around and delivering food to tables. He looks really happy with what he does.
He noticed me and waves happily. He skates over to the door and pops his head out.
"Where you going?" he ask
"Just for a walk" I shrug "I got tired of being cramped in the house and I needed some air.
