I ran down to the Athena cabin, hoping to find Annabeth, but before I could knock, an empty soda can hit me on the side of my head. A boy from the Hermes cabin stepped forward.
"Annabeth told us what what you did. You cheated. We thought you were loyal."
"Wha-did I miss something while I was out?" I stuttered. I knew she was mad, but I didn't think she was that mad. Tears threatened to spill over my eyes.
"Don't try to hide it," a new voice said. Of all people, it was Piper. "You hurt her. I thought you were my friend." There was so much charmspeak in her voice, I wanted to throw myself the pit of Tartarus.
Tears streamed down my cheeks, and I felt like my world was crashing in front of me.
